Andy43 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Yep sure will Check out FAQ/WiKi in top tool bar. CYA Andy Quote
jono1986 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Yes, although you need to look out for gear stick and mounting positions........and DO NOT forget the spigot bearing, learned from that mistake. Quote
Andy43 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Also Not sure about the tailshaft, I think the splines may be different ? Can anyone confirm this ? Andy 1 Quote
zach. Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 thats what i was thinking Andy. can anyone confirm this. Quote
jono1986 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Do you have a 2 speed or a 3 speed at the moment, I know when I did my 3 spd auto to 4 spd manual conversion the tailshaft's splines were different (can't remember if it's bigger or smaller though). Just pull out the drive shaft and check only a 5 minute job, if you do it with the car on an angle (the back higher than the front) the oil won't come out of the G.box. Quote
Evan G Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 my trimatic had like 20 something + output slpines. 4/5 speed had 19 if i remember correctly (the auto flange is HUGE compaired to the manual one) Quote
twinkytodd Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 toyoglide is also different to k40. k40 + k50 share the same splines however. i think the difference is between the auto and the manual output shafts only. presuming you will have this problem also, i suggest you make sure you find the correct tailshaft > diff head stud pattern too as they differ between borgwarner and banjo models. hope that helps Quote
frasian Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 my k40 went into the auto shaft with no problems ? Quote
zach. Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 its a toyoglide. i have to find a drive shaft aswell. Quote
