Rolla__Boy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I have 17 x 7's on my KE35, and we rolled my guards with a maglite torch...I have very minimal scraping on very rare occasions, and my car is crazy low....and it didn't affect my ride at all as it was already bumpy as hell, being on bumpstops and all, and with the nice wide rubber, my car sticks to the road like glue. Felix Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 how does it go if you have pretty much full lateral loading going on (to the point the rear tyres are starting to slide) and hit a choppy bit of road midcorner? or don't you drive it that hard? what sort of tyre pressures do you run with 17's? just curious. Corolla_Kid Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 haha mine hits the bumpstops at the rear with two people in the back and its not even lowered Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 lol time for new springs back on topic, i want to get corona steelies widened to 6" same backspace as stock so i get lots of dish  Quote
Felix Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 stiffer shocks, and ditch the rear seat passengers. jamie check out this site for wheel modifications. Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) ray billeau engineering around southport will do it. ray's a cranky old f@$k so he wants like $120 per wheel to do it there's a lowered ke30 in lismore with silver widened 13" stockos, and from the look of that thing, it's so worth it i'd do white wheels with polished hubcaps and chrome dress rims. yum Edited October 11, 2005 by Super Jamie Quote
Felix Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) i much prefer black rims with chrome trim rims, wheel nuts, and center caps on an old jap car. ie. mazda rx3 savanna style. Edited October 11, 2005 by Felix Quote
Gaijin Doru Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) I can't wait to get my 15x8.5 SSR Longchamps... mmmm Edited October 12, 2005 by Gaijin Doru Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 I used to have widened 13 inch galant stockies...they were awesome...obviously if my car hits bumps mid corner it bounces the wheels off the ground...I am quite aware that having a car on bumpstops is not a good idea...but I really don't care, because I like it that low...it's not a race car...it's a road car....it does what it needs to do. Gaijin Doru Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 at least they beat boring watanabe's.... go takumi *yawn* Quote
Clown Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 don't mind the longchamps, more of a SSR mesh boy though. Quote
Dan Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 If you want pursuit/stockies on your car try looking in some speedway shops. They sell stockie looking lightweight wheels (21lb) Around 13-15 inch and start at 6 inch wide. I'm interested in some, not sure how much their worth though. I'll just live with the Jellybeans for the moment :lmao: Quote
TRD ke70 Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 back on topic, i want to get corona steelies widened to 6"same backspace as stock so i get lots of dish :lmao: why do you want corona rims widened to 6" ???? you can buy 92-95 townace rims which are 14 x 6, i chucked my ones away when i fitted the mags to the van.
