umm well it looks like rolla will not be running by said car show and i don't have the money or patience for a trailer...

 

so I'm prety much not gonna bother. ill still be there for a bit but ill be spending sunday arvo working on this. to be honest as much as i like looking at cars and showing my stuff off, this is being built to be DRIVEN not sat on a school oval with the bonnet up :P

So an update. The uber expensive to replace EMS ignitor box was earthing out inside and blowing ignition fuses. So ash and i decided to chuck that and the 4agze coils and go to a internally ignited wasted spark setup, stolen from of all things daewoo lanos.

EMS? is that an RDP setup?

The ecu is a haltech, it had ems ignitor controller, we have swapped that and the GZE coils for the daewoo ones... Less wiring, and much cheaper to replace if something fails.

righto gents, popped over to Mr ashleys place tonight to pick something up id left in the boot of the red rocket and found him in the shed working on it, naturally i stuck around to help out and we finished wiring in the coil among other things.

 

now that that, the TPS, CAS, map sensor and the oxy sensor are all wired up, the thing fires both the injectors and the coils, heres us testing the coils :D

so yeah now we got the ignition bugs ironed out, we are on the home straight now, just need to buy some leads and we should be able to get her to run (and drive :P)
