Twincam16seca Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) can some one please help me!? I just removed my stock ae71 strut and control arm set up and replacing it with the xt130 LCA's, struts and brake set up, but am unsure if i needed adjustable camber tops, or if i could use the ae71 or xt130's? is that a noob question or what?? I have trial fitted the ae71 tops and it fouls the top of the corona spring retainer (as i was going to use corona springs with 1 coil cut out) and from what i can tell that wouldn't allow the strut to pivot when turning?...am i correct? so any info ASAP would be great! BlueKsev Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 A few people have just left the ae71 spring, top spring hat thing, and the thing that you can see from in the bonnet (i can't remember what they call it, i call it the top thing). And the spring is ment to fit fine on the lower spring hat even though it is smaller than the coronas spring. Quote

Ella Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 As above, use corolla top.spring hat and strut top. Also use corolla camber top or stock strut top. Are you using corona control arms or steering arms too? If so theres more u need to know about using them. If your in or close to brisbane happy to show you on my cars, both run this system :-) Quote

I had it wheel aligned today and i have -1deg camber! drives better, the extra info about the arms would be good! thanks! I'm in Adelaide though 'ella' Edited February 15, 2011 by Twincam16seca Quote
