Nuh, to be honest with you it was a simple mistake.....it does say Positive and Negative on the coil so I would understand the confusion.

Easy mistake to make, but surprised you guys didn't pick up on it :o

 

If it fixes his problem then great, that's what we are here for, to give advice and to help other rolla members.

I feel like a gimp, even worse i work in electronics..... just not cars.

just a power to the positive side of the coil, the coil negative goes to the dizzy.

 

and hopefully it starts.

 

the dizzy/ points is the switch/contacts to spark the coil.

hope like hell it starts it!!

Positive side of coil to ballist then to ignition

 

Negative to wire coming from distributor.

why would you run the negative side of the coil to the battery? :bash:

 

take it off, you are just shorting the coil out!!

 

 

Sound like a new way to reduce the back emf off the coil.
