stable20 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 how much better would ford springs be into a ke70 6kg front 4.5kg rear then eg ajps springs all round with excel g short stroke shocks with either the ford or ajps springs. Quote
19914afc Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 They would be worse because you can't get ford springs in those rates with a free height to suit xe7x, Just get the AJPS springs and do it right the first time. Quote
Jono.C Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 So a mate was saying getting kingsprings made to your requirements are a fair bit cheaper than ajps. He got 180mm free height 8kg for his ke70 for $195 the pair Quote
ke70dave Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 So a mate was saying getting kingsprings made to your requirements are a fair bit cheaper than ajps. He got 180mm free height 8kg for his ke70 for $195 the pair thats cause i think thats all AJPS does, and adds %20 to the price. ive done the king springs custom jobby, and it is quite reasonable. also king spring have ALOT of part numbers that you can order, just jump on their website and find what you want. prolly cheaper as they arent "custom". though it may only be for the "motorsport" springs (ie coilover) http://svc097.wic026v.server-web.com/catalogue/kings_springs_2010%20prosport%20cat.pdf Quote
Crostek Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I got lovell ford escort front springs in the rear of My ke70. they cost $170 for the set if it helps Quote
capt. crunch Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 What's the spring rate and free height of those springs Crostek? Just out of curiosity i've seen everyone running 8 6 combos but that sounds like it would be a stiff and bumpy ride if it's road driven as well, would let's say a 7 5 or maybe a 8 5 work a bit nicer but still be sweet for a bit of drifting at the practice days? stable20 Posted March 2, 2011 Author Report Posted March 2, 2011 Thanks alot guys your advice was helpfull. your right 19914afc ill do it the right way the first time round :P Quote
19914afc Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 just get coilovers for the front now instead of doing springs then spending more money later on coilovers, just do it all properly and all at once. Quote
stable20 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Report Posted March 3, 2011 yerr its just coming across the money is the problem. Quote
