if you care to read the first post again it states rb20de because of capacity limit for a ke20 being 2.3l

I don't think that's a relevant point because he wants it under 2.3L for legal reasons but modding the engine bay makes it illegal again and defeats the purpose. Unless it is fully engineered which I doubt, but hey prove me wrong. As for torque I think RB30s are gutless, the last 5sfe engine isn't that far in torque and that's before some light mods.

does any one know the weight diference between a SR20 and RB20?

and seeing as he has not told us the aim of what hes trying to get out of it and what he wants to use it for (that i can see)

i don't seen why at this point it matter if the motor choise needs to be light and go around corners well!

i agree with what he said, the 6 would looks cooler and sound better :P

Could make a very angry sr20de n/a. 2.2 stroker gtir intake s15 6 speed as an option then also.

Or beams 3sge and 6 speed manual. 150kw standard. That's the same as a Vl turbo in a 2.0L n/a 4cyl.

What's the exact cc's you can go? A 12a would be 2332cc ;)

Wpn36 has just answered practically everything here. :)

A standard 4AGZE on 12psi Boost (factory) makes more power than the RB20DE. Both from the flywheel and freshly built, and after years of Wear and Tear, it's still gonna be the same figures.

So, really, an SR20DE with (Quote from Wpn36): "2.2 stroker, gtir intake, and s15 6 speed" - which I bet will FLY, or the Beams 3SGE, are better options.

IMO (in my opinion), the RB20DE does sound a little bonkers for a KE20. If it's for Drag/Track purposes, then awesome. Go for it.

If it's just for fun and giggles, an RB30 Block with RB25 stuff and a VL T3/T4 Turbo is a more better idea. :)

Josh
