Super Jamie Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 haha 10 pound, the poor old stock 3k's not going to last long with that Quote
Felix Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 that is cool. 90 hp at the wheels isn't bad, considering he would have spent under a grand to turbo it. pretty funny that he doesn't know the difference between drawthru and blowthru. i would have thought that with near 15psi of fuel pressure at the carb at full boost, that fuel would piss out of the accelerator pump diaphram.... cookie Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 man that is a super cool 3K engine single carb + turbo really cool :( Quote
oke020 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Ha ha love it, an efi pump is probably not the most ideal pump though, i would have set it up as draw through and used an SU, much less hassles trying to raise fuel pressure to counter act boost pressure also you can't expect a carby designed to work with vacum to behave properly with pressure, absolute nightmare once you start leaning on it i would think, fuel leaking from shaft seals, floats collapsing yadda yadda then there is the poor vl pump trying to keep up fuel demands running 1/3 of its ideal fuel pressure. Still thumbs up to the guy, go the frankenstein engine :jamie: Quote
oke020 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 This guy also has a 20 from same forum http://abusive.boostcruising.com/ different Quote
Tiger Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 I admire his "sleeper" approach. As oke020 suggested, I would've done it draw through myself, but yeah.... each to their own... that's why we have so many unique build ups to say the least ;) Not bagging him, but yeah, he's boosted... so I think that was all he was worried about :jamie: Quote
Felix Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 he has a malpassi rising rate fuel pressure regulator in there...... Quote
irokin Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 LOL I was just looking at this again today....and realised he hasnt got the water lines hooked up to the turbo. I doubt it will last long...but T25s are cheap disposable items... Quote
