Hey guys, i've just bought a 4K and it came with a Oil Cooler.

The engine has a little bit of work done to it like cam and ported and stuff, but is an Oil Cooler necessary? And its just my daily btw.

Cheers

I didn't think so.

No worries thanks for that. I may aswell just sell it off, as I'm not planning on running a turbo or any such thing haha.

My 2 cents (get in before Philbey?) .

Yes it's worth it if your car sees a reasonable degree of competition, not if you just drive it to work and back each day.

BUT, only use one of an appropriate size (in this case very small), and definitely use an oil takeoff with a thermostat.

If it doesn't have a thermostat, remove it immediately

there is only one thing worse than oil that is too hot, and that is oil that is too cold!

Yeah I'm not using it for anything else than casual driving.

NO thermostat.

And heres the system. Probably just looks regular hey? But i'm not familiar with this stuff haha. Oil Filter will do me just fine.

How much is this worth second hand as is, because i wouldn't have a clue. And need to get rid of it.

Thats a filter re-location kit as well as just the cooler!!!

But K series filter are easy enough to get at so you don't need that either.

Just sell it on AE86DC to some kid who'll think it'll make his ke70 slide better! :rolls: ..... with Takumi tax too! :lolcry:

Does ANYONE have any pictures of this type of system hooked up. I can't seem to figure it out for now.

So in the meantime ill just run it with an oilfilter.
