Xany Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 ok peoples....... i would like to hear any road rage related stories that have happened to you and or if you have ever commited a road rage offense.] heres mine. driving home from work tonight i was on a 4 lane road with a vs commodore beside me in the right hand lane and i was a bit concerned about the car behind me (a vn commodore) and he seemed to be a little too close for my liking (about a foot or so off my bumper). so i proceed to do the speed limit (60km/h) about a 500m down the road the speed changes to 70km/h so the VS commodore was still beside me and i decided to slow down a bit to let him pass...(his lights were shining in my eyes) then the VN commodore speeds up beside me and starts mouthing off ( i couldn't hear him because he had his window up). so i politely give him the finger and he mouths something else and puts his foot to the floor and takes off..... about 600m down the road hes still in the right lane and is stopping at a set of lights and i know that i can turn left into a street to drop my friend off. so as we pass him me and my friend casually wave at him and i drive off into the night. its people like these that put other road users in danger and they should learn some respect for the other road users..... anyway i would like to hear any other road rage incidents that you may have had, it should make a good topic :| Quote
demuire Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Too many to mention. One that does come to mind is me driving down Ipswitch Road, 2 lane road, WRX in the left lane beside me. I'm slightly behind him, the front of my car probably about parallel to his back door. There's a car parked in the left lane (as there always seems to be), so I take it a bit cautiously, expecting the guy in the WRX to slow down and come in behind me or something like that. He checks his mirrors, sees me, looks me straight in the eye and swerves across into my lane. I jump on the brakes and swerve right partially into the oncoming traffic lane, I was so sure he was going to hit me anyway, he mustave missed the front of my car by less than an inch. Meanwhile I can see him and his mates laughing and then they all look back at me and give me the finger... I was soooo tempted to just keep my foot on the accelerator - after all it would have been his fault and the damage to his car would have been worth a shiteload more... But reflexes are reflexes and I dodged him. --- Hmm, let's see - another one from my teenage angst years in Malaysia. Me and my housemate are driving around town, looking for a parking space. We're late, I know it, but she keeps reminding me every 2 seconds anyway. Finally we find a spot about 5 blocks away, quickly park the car and start walking. We're crossing this road, there's no one on the road apart from a car coming out of the carpark. I'm almost certain he sees us (considering we walked in front of his car about 30 seconds ago), and he's stopped so we start to cross. All of a sudden behind me I hear the engine rev up and he comes out at us, I'm walking a little behind my friend and I run at her, grab her and throw both of us at the sidewalk, this guy was so close I could feel the wind pass my heels. Hit the sidewalk hard, get up and give him the finger (by this stage I was really pissed off). Guy slams on the brakes and gets out of the car with a baseball bat. I'm just about on my limit of pissed-off-ness, so I walk towards this guy and flick out both my butterfly knives. The guy looks around, notices that people at the club across the road are starting to take interest, swears at me and gets back in the car and drives off. Needless to say I wasn't very good company for most of the rest of the night... Hmm, can't think of anymore... --- :| :) I'm a happy Fook :laff: :laff: Quote
Teddy Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 ohhh - i never knew fook had a second side lol - but then again, i come out of my shell in painfull situations.... Today coming back from the city, we were coming off gimpy road onto a nother road (near the grave yard, oposite kedron domono'z pizza) - anway mum was driving, and as we came around the corner, this guy pulled out - no looking, or blinking or anything. Mum slamed on the breaks, went into the other lane missing this guy by about 1 rulers length - Oh i mutterd obsenaties, and gave the finger many times. He Screamed off , and we got going again. Catch is, it was a Brand new toyota - BUT - It had a Ford sticker on the back window? - Go Figure?! Quote
Teddy Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Ahh - heheheheh We all still love whitey lol Sports evo ... ive seen some of those - I still like our rear wheel drive corollas :| One day nick - you will get more grip ! this brings me 2 another story - its Slightly off topic - its not abusive driving, but its dumb driving ! On school camp last year, 2/3 full bus - driving from 1 area to another, and the stupid bus driver just was not paying attention, and we drifted to the side of the road, and liturally missed takeing out a sign post by about |---| much liturally - Catch is the sign caught the side of the bus, and at 80 Kmh, a sign scrape-in along the side of the bus - scary lol The noise... well - u know the metal ropes u use for flying foxes, hi-ropes etc - it was like 1 of those at tention snapping - woke the dumb driver up... oh and when we stopped - the left side of the bus needed repair - front windo cracked, and all the left side of bus had nice deeeeeep scratches in it - I'm amazed it didnt break lol Hope that brings entertainment, caz we paid out the driver all the way home.
