ok guys next decision is what motor sr20det or 13bt ??????

 

so lost and don't no what 2 pic i can get eather for dam cheep and just dount no what 2 pic .

 

 

so might just start a lil pro's and con's about the 2 if that ok :)

A lot of the bucket seats are stiff as all hell. Not the best option if its a daily driver like mine is...

 

These are the seats in mine, the last owner put them in, out of a 87 or somethin prelude (hey it may be Honda but these seats kick ass):

 

 

These have even got the adjuster so you can adjust the lower part of the seat in or out (for lower back comfort), and the upper part of the seat.

 

They aren't engineered unfortunately, on my to do list.

And yes they are prelude seats, and they are f@$kin comfy, I had a set that were to end up in my car, but I sold them. I hate the way the headrest sticks up on it's own, damn ugly, but well worth the comfort.

i don't think the headrests are particularly ugly. I might have to get some nice seat covers, that would look hot. The seats make a big difference, makes the car seem newer than it is!

 

 

sr20det or 13bt ?

 

well that depends if you want any sort of fuel economy, or very low quarter mile times.

 

you're 18. i'd go the sr20det anyday. i'm not a big fan of the s13 sr20det's, being pushrod motors and all, but it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to run than a rotary turbo. Also would be easier to get engineered too.

yeah i am swinging more towords the sr20 but just the thought of a 13bt in a rolla is just magic in my mind lol .

 

13bt + wheel stands off the lights racing a rice burner on his p's or munch munch v8 for lunch .

 

sr20det + crazy take off and unuther rice burner 2 da list i just don't no what 2 get

 

but eather motor i put in it will be used as a weekend car not a daliy drive so it dusent bother me eather way

13bt in ke30 = not registerable in nsw. stick to the SR

Just a thought there are lots of good toyota motors to put in KE30's, 1GGTE?

Couldnt agree more, i think a toyota motor would be a lot easier to pass when getting enginered. Besides the conversion would be a lot easier and there are also more parts availble to. But i think the question you need to ask is how much are you willing to pay and what you want to acheive, an engine can only give so much.

That would take so long but very unique, i havent seen one but who knows. I guess you would be the first in Australia if not the world. I like the sound of the 3sgte, if memory serves correctly there out of the mr2. You could lighting the hell out of your rolla and make one quick beast. Who knows 12 sec car if correctly done maybe faster.

It makes no difference what manufacturer you're engine is from, it will still be the same to engineer it.

 

And there are FAR more go fast bits for Nissan engines than Toyota engines.

Yeah that might be correct, I'm a brand whore so imho it should have a Toyota motor by default :hammer:,

 

I say do something different like GTNicKK was saying, SR20 in KE30 has been done, but if your on a budget then its up to you,
