  2. it fits. i've done it. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=10551 dyzza
  3. maan you gotta take this thing to the burnout comps ... if don't have em in tassy - move to archerfield!
  4. hey fellas don't mean to steal the thread but it seems appropriate .. check this out ... http://www21.tok2.com/home/burumeta/machic...ribon_ex_1.html its got sik guard mounted mirrors ;) something doesn't look right ... the front end maybe ..
  5. hmm for a ke30, the easier jobby is to use ta22 struts and lower control arms... just gotta swap over the strut tops - child's play, and bolt up the control arms ... I'm doin this soon... its good coz stock corolla vs stock ta22 celica suspension - the celica stuff is seomthing like 30mm lower standard.. so the idea is to get ta22 low king springs and some shocks - and you're ke30 will sit low. tyre shouldn't be much above the guard :P ra40 gear has bigger discs and stuff, but not as low ... hope this helps dyzza
  6. See jonno .. thats the problem. maccas is f@$king you. when i leave work, i go home. i don't take employees home - thats what their f@$king parents are for. if they can't get picked up, they get fired. if i was you, i'd be walking to work and when i finish my shift, i'd walk home. screw taking whiney little 15 year olds who don't respect cars home (bet they slam your doors too) (man I'm not taking a stab at you, i just know other folk who work at maccas and they take advantage of their nice ways..) i don't think that the cops would worry about whether its registered as a 4 or 5 seater - the important thing is whether or not all passengers have seatbelts or not. So the middle person in the back wouldnt have one. therefore, you're screwed... i wouldnt wanna be sitting in the middle anyways, its a bit humpy dyzza
  7. I'm with nick on this one ... if your points decided to stick together for a while, then it'd be the cylinder would be firing when it shouldn't be hence the lack of power and spluttering and what not ... dyzza
  8. lol man you lazy bastard you live like maybe 2ks max from your work? if you have to leave your car under a car cover ... i'd be walking it to work every day man ... even if its a night-time shift, take a pocket knife or a rubber dildo with you .. browns plains scum wont f@$k with you then dyzza
  9. maan close call browns plains scum... sucks coz your work is only like 500m from my work ... :y: might rig up an insta-torch flamethrower alarm, somethin like off stickdeath dyzza
  10. man that's not the point ... he didn't need to try rarespares, he improvised :P dyzza
  11. hey man yeah i'd be pretty interested in a set too :( ... put me on the list... Thanks champ! dyzza
  12. lol nice method ... yeah ancullen is sending me one :D thanks for the tip ... might go with a gasket but :)
  13. hey guys ... well yeah this particular car isn't being completed by myself at the moment ... i sold it to a mate and bought my yellow ke30 2 door... the b6t i had i wrecked and sold... I'm thinking of putting an s13 ca18 n/a in my rolla The brown 2 door has been fixed up by my mate ... got rid of the rust, painted it XR6 lime green or whatever, and yeah ... he's gonna put a decent motor in it sometime Laters!
  14. yeah my man ancullen here is fixing me up :D
  15. alrighty thanks ... i'll let yas know how i go ... :D dyzza
  16. hey guys well my diff plug on my borg-warner (from ke55) must be cross-threaded coz it freespins when you try and undo it to top up the diff oil ... i guess my only option is the change the backing plate over to one where the diff plug isn't cross threaded ... is there any nacks with a corolla diff in changing this plate over? I just don't wanna start it and drain what oil is left in the diff, and find something out afterwards and not have the car on the road ... its dropped a bit of oil out of the diff, and i wanna top it up ASAP but can't ... grr Thanks for you help, dyzza
  17. hey guys well the following is goin on with the 4k at the moment ... Its got a stock carby on it, its pretty clean, looked like it had a rebuild recently ... It doesn't normally idle on flat ground, just idles smooth at about 1000rpm then drops down to 700ish then conks out. When I'm parked in my driveway as i open the gate, the car will rev fine but at like 1200 rpm ... Sometimes when i take a corner at the lights or whatever a bit quick the car drops out a bit then picks up, as though it was starved of fuel temporarily ... Am i right to assume the float level is too low? I don't suppose that this could be why I'm getting 440ks off 50L :) Thanks for the help oh - i should have a 5K in the car and running by the end of the weekend :) Dyzza
  18. hmm i might just change the diff backing plate ... Anyone have a spare ke55 borg-warner backing plate ? :P Dyzza
  19. yeah man i hear ya ... doesn't make the most sense to me either ... hmm ... sounds as though the inlet is still open while compression is occurring ... wouldn't that be detrimental performance-wise ? Dyzza
  20. yeah ... but i don't know my readings are low ... thats what i really wanna know I'll give that a shot too :P
  21. well as the topic says, the plug in my borg-warner diff won't undo ... it just spins and spins and spins and spins, and spins some more. In either direction ... so at the moment the plug is half-tight, constantly. Which means it leaks slowly, and makes it hard if i wanna put any oil into it (running a bit low i think) ... What the hell? Is this common? Tried searchin but didn't find shizzle... Dyzza
  22. ah ... well never heard of that terminology before, but this is what i did do .. screwed thread into cylinder 1 (screw in guage type), took lead of dizzy cap, pumped accelerator a bit as i turned the motor over. .. stopped, read guage, reset it, put spark plug back in cylinder 1, went onto cylinder 2... Dyzza
  23. hey actually it might have had one done ... the last bloke, on carsales, just put like 'headwork, camshaft...' like that ... i didn't ask any questions ... Cheers
  24. hey guys I did a search trying to find standard compression rates for a 4k (in PSI) but had no luck ... i did a test on my 4k - 125 was about average, highest 127 lowest 121. Is this low? I noticed someone on here had a 5K with 10.1 compression and managed 225 average ... :P Cheers, Dyzza
  25. yeah its an 8 ... that is the bolts that go around the back plate on the diff (the only visible bolts...) Its a borg warner ... ah 's' series i guess? Cheers
