well fellas ... I took a look in my engine bay in the KE30 2 door that i have got me a hold of ... turns out its the 20,000th KE30 produced! how sick is that. That's what the stamp says anyways ... Also it came with a 3k-h ... my mate reckons that was for the jap market (aka j-spec) ? Sounds tops! Anyways ... ten points to the person who guesses what motor is goin in the beast ... :dance: Well the deal was done tonight, the baby is now here at my house! First step is strippin it of the 'ol 4K, 4 speed, and diff (anyone need 4K extractors?) Next is priming it and removin the small bit of rust. I'm even gonna paint the engine bay... There is a 4AGE ae82 seca around the corner for sale for $1100. Perfect, considering Andrew has a 5 speed from his KE70 wagon lyin around to use... Gotta save up for the seca, then the real fun starts. What's paint worth? I'm gonna need about 5L to do the rolla, XR6 orange ... i know a guy who works at a panel beater who can do the car pro job cheap (providing its 100% ready to spray once it 'walks in the door'). Woot woot! 'bout time i owned another rolla... :D

lol! A couple of months back, me and 3 mates went roadtrippin' down to Byron Bay. On the way down we stopped at Pac Fair, there was this skyline with a 5" tip or somethin ridiculous next to us, so my mate jammed a 2L coke bottle in the exhaust. As we were leavin the carpark, some dude in a pulsar cut us off and hopped out of the car screaming blue murder about littering and stuff. Then he goes 'yeah i am a long-haired police officer'. Off-duty, what a wanker. He took my number plate (didnt know what DYZ24 meant haha), and was like 'youre gonna get a fine in the mail, blah blah blah' then drove off ringing some dude on his fone (probably his bitch). We had a good laugh about it, just some ass on a powertrip. Oh yeah never got no stupid fine... \m/

lol! These are just random confessions by random folk ... most are useless, but occasionally you get a funny one: i LOVE to go to the grocery store and take condoms and walk around until i find elderly couples and toss them in the cart when they are not looking. i have been doing this for 9 years. :D \m/

Cheers! Fellas, that KE30 i was lookin at ... well I can have it for $600, recently de-registered. Has slight rust in engine bay that me and 'drew are takin care of, other than that, the body is in quite good condition, no visible dents or anything. Its a 1975 KE30 2 door sedan. Has that 4k i was talkin about (read 1st page of thread; still yet to confirm if they really are forgies...). If (or should i say when!) i get this beast, the 4k, gearbox (4 speed manual), tailfshaft and diff will be up for sale! All i need is the chassis :dance: ... oh yeah and a new dash (cracked ... surprise surprise...) hey well its my mate's brother who has the car, i saw him rebuild it. He reckons they are forgies! I'll ask him for more details next time i see him, probably on the weekend or something. Yep they are expensive as you said, for a 4k. I'll keep y'all posted. \m/

hey again... Nah reCOUPE i'll find out next time i see him. Had another look at that KE30 2 door sedan today. Its been recently de-registered, body is in good nick, slight rust in engine bay and front left guard, rest of car looks fine. Me and andrew are strippin it back and pullin everythin off it 'to be sure, to be sure'. It has a 4k in it, slightly worked motor, 4 speed manual behind it. If i do get this car, that motor will be up for sale! Its got bigger ports, forgies, extractors, and recently reconditioned. Anywhoo, see yas round. \m/
