  1. Didn't need a crystal ball to forsee this.
  2. Nice work. Tell me there is more lowering to come though??
  3. I just sold a decent ke36 wagon rear bar for $50. $440 I think he has his hand on it.
  4. Damn...and you still have masses of wheel arch to fill. LoL
  5. I am an NA man all the way. Quads for response and the bloody noise. YUMMMMM!!! I had a 4ag with twin webers hanging off it and the sound of those webers singing away at 7000rpm bouncing off the mountain walls is awesome. Don't get me wrong turbo's are cool and I have had a couple of stupidly fast turbo cars but I still love the crisp response from a well sorted NA. No good for drags though. I am one of these people who prefers (or should I say preferred. It's been a years now thanks to a family and a business) to build an underpowered and well braked car and shoot it through the twisties leaving the big HP boys in my wake. Why not spend your money on suspension, brakes and tyres??? There is a whole other world there waiting for you to explore. If you ask me bigger brown stains on your passenger's undies once you start learning how to drive properly.
  6. 7shades: I definately think you should drive that Audi back and stop in and say gday matey. As for the BMW's comment personally I am quite partial to them, but hey some people would call me an arrogant wanker at times. My mum has an '02 318i that I had the privelege of driving for a few months on my 900kms a week for work while she was OS. Best few months driving to and from work ever. Very comfy and responsive and very smooth to drive. My car ownership history doesn't just include old corollas or >$5000 cars so my, I suppose you could say mydata, isn't skewed by one expensive mofo car.
  7. Only if you widen it, otherwise......
  8. Ok I am going to be the responsible one here and say there is some very scary suggestions coming out of this thread. The you're not driving fast enough one is what worries me most. I am currently having visions of this bloke coming round a corner and spinning out straight into a pole or whatever. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you don't have a lot of driving experience and that you are under the age of 20 possibly even 19. Everyone has to start somewhere. Sorry if my presumptions are wrong. Firtsly don't worry about power or speed. If you want to mod your car get some real suspension and brakes under there. Get on ke70.com and research before you buy. It can be done cheaply with parts from other cars and still have a good setup. After this go to a controlled environment and try sliding it at slower speeds, first in the wet. Practice your car control at a slower speed. This way when you do start to speed up in the dry your reactions come naturally. It takes time and practice. A locker will does help you to slide but can be a handful to drive if you have never had one and you will go through tyres like nobody's business. Having said that an open centre is also unpredictable when sliding. Hope some of this was more constructive and will keep you and everybody else alive. Craig
  9. Yes if you have a welder and a grinder are are prepared to use them.
  10. I used to have a shifter somewhere. If it turns up I'll let you know.
  11. Good to see they fit. now we can stop all these threads that come up.."what will fit????"
  12. I've got the vents on my ke36 wagon, good rear bumper and tailights if you want them. I don't need them as I am not going to be running any of them. I myself am chasing ke70 girlock calipers and backing plates with the appropriate bolts for mounting. Maybe we can work something out.
  13. Once you shaved the rear vents any dramas when you close doors or anything? I just figured they were there to do with cabin pressure when you open and close doors.
  14. Aha there that is why I said 'I think.' That means it was still L18 crank. It was a while ago. Thank you for correcting me. It was for class racing.
  15. That stuff is gold. I used it to fix a fuel tank leak on the 4runner.
  16. I had one in a 1200 sedan. Yeah we flogged the snot out of the transmission tunnel. As was stated above not a bad motor. L18 does rev better as it has a shorter stroke and yes you will need to look at twin carbs and headers for more power. The best option we had was L18 block and rods with l20 crank (I think) and L20 pistons. This way we got L18 short stroke combined with L20 capacity.
  17. Quit maccas. A friend of mine was a manager at Indro. Best thing she ever did was leave. Don't rush back to work dude especially with glandular coz you'll only come down with it again then you are back where you started. Craig
  18. You'll know the answer to this question. How many motor vehicles can I buy and sell within a 6month period before it isn't classed as a hobby, becomes taxable and I have to get a dealer's license?
  19. I understand your pain. I swear i ran over a frikken chinaman or something. Get cancer, then the guy I lease the pool off is trying to screw me for more money or telling me I can leave, I am running my squad at about 50% thanks to cold and flu season and now the roof on the pool has fallen apart thanks to big winds. OMFG!!!
  20. I only ever deal with fulcrum super pro poly bushes. I couldn't tell you what it is retail as I have been going there for near on 10years.
  21. People who bump up the price of KE corolla parts and also people who won't share knowledge with younger more inexperienced people. Having said that though younger more inexperienced people who wouldn't know good advice if it bit them in the arse! We work on ke corollas because they are cheap and parts are plentiful. I usually give my parts away because I remember what it was like when I was 17 and had bugger all money and obsessed with modifying my car. I couldn't afford shit. Why bump up the price of a 30 year old car part just because you can make a quick buck of some poor kid who busted his ass at maccas for $11/hr to be able to pay for a tired out 4k or 5k? ** **exception to rule** - I feel it is ok to bump up the price on wannabe drift0rs. Sorry guys. :P
  22. I'll just whistle up my cloud and fly off into the distance. Monkey!! I forgot all about that show. You guys are digging up some very fond memories of my childhood.
  23. That is soooo cool.. I used to watch this and The A Team all the time!!!! Fool!
