demuire Posted March 30, 2004 Author Report Posted March 30, 2004 Oops sorry forgot to update. In any case, the meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday 31st). 7.30, CAMS room, Milton. Quote
demuire Posted March 31, 2004 Author Report Posted March 31, 2004 Excellent. Don't worry about the call, I dialled before reading your message. See you Sunday if Pinky makes it out there. Broke again today. As per usual. Will probably fail scrutineering as usual too, not once have I actually ever passed scrutineering first go... Quote
demuire Posted March 31, 2004 Author Report Posted March 31, 2004 Hehe, I've got so many zippy ties in Pinky now it's starting to get rather ridiculous :P Clutch is held on with zippy ties (has been for more than a year now), battery held on with zippy ties, catch can held on with zippy ties, hose clamps replaced with zippy ties, relays held on with zippy ties, fire extinguisher held on with zippy ties, soooooooo dodgy... JapTastic Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Dem: You could look at it as more of a ghetto weight saving technique... Quote
JapTastic Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Typical JDM goodness.. when i brought my sil80 in, the front panels/headlights/grill/bumper were all held on by zipties, no bolts to be found..... Quote
demuire Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 Umm. I don't know actually. Check the sup regs. I think practice starts at like 9.30? I don't know. I'll probably be there before 9 to help setup. Bugger, it's this Sunday. Geez time flies... My handbrake is still shite, oh well... Meh. Quote
demuire Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 No, you go to the Queensland Raceway entry. The motorkhana is held in the far end of the car park past the garages, next to the fenced area. Basically as you drive down Champions Way before you get to the dirt road it veers to the right, take that right and follow and you'll get to the track. Go past the garages toward the control tower, turn right and drive all the way down. You'll see us there. Quote
demuire Posted April 3, 2004 Author Report Posted April 3, 2004 Gah, stupid rain. Which tyres to bring now... Good tyres are impossible to handbrake turn on in the dry, skid tyres are impossible to drive on in the wet... Glad I checked pinky too, battery decided to go flat overnight again... Must find that blasted intermittent leak... Quote
Medicine_Man Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Damn that was a fun day, may have gone the wrong direction a few times, or missed a few cones, but still got to get the KE70 squealing :P Look foward to the next Motorkhana :D Quote
demuire Posted April 4, 2004 Author Report Posted April 4, 2004 QMS3: May 2nd. Not sure of venue yet. Quote
mumblezzz Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 With any luck i'll be at the next one. Time to break out the welder, open diff is killing me. Quote
demuire Posted April 5, 2004 Author Report Posted April 5, 2004 I have open diff (in fact most of us did), I still had heaps of fun. Getting power oversteer and lift off oversteer with an open diff is very strange... *edit* Actually, getting power oversteer at all with 30hp is very very strange... Quote
mumblezzz Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 If you saw my effort yesterday, you'd know what i mean.   Just call me the one wheel wonderboy. :P Quote
