ancullen Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Based on the fact that 7" wheels are even a bit wide on a KE3x I've got 15x7.0's and they look narrow to me. Not sure of the offset on mine though. Surely there's no difference between the wheels that fit KE3x and KE5x? Quote
Fayt Posted December 1, 2005 Author Report Posted December 1, 2005 well i don't think there is any law about width in tas, because i know somebody with a chev bel-air with a 500 big block in it and its back wheels are 15"x14 aka drag wheels :P Ive got a mate with a ke20 with 13"x7 hotwires, and they don't look too bad Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 i'll bet there is a law. there are laws in the ADRs about it Quote
Felix Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 what size tyres you want to run? is it a daily driver? i have 186/60 a539s on 13x5.5" rims on both my ke15 and ke16. fit perfectly, though i had to roll the rear guards slightly on the back of the '15. can't fit my finger between the inner sidewall and the strut on the front of them. can't see you fitting anything much wider without rolling/lipping/flaring. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I have 17 x 7 on my KE35, with 215/40/17 tyres...We rolled the front guards a bit, but they fit ok Quote
Fayt Posted December 1, 2005 Author Report Posted December 1, 2005 hey guys, I got some more pic of my corolla today, if you wanna see them, click........ HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE :P what size tyres you want to run? is it a daily driver? can't see you fitting anything much wider without rolling/lipping/flaring. Its not a daily driver, its used sometimes to go places and also in competition and if i put wider wheels on it i wont need to put flares on it cos my rolla is in a way that the wheels will just expand into the car not outwards, hence the fact no flares :) Quote
muller Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 i got hotwire mags on my 25 and i don't like them much, i reckon i will use them as skid wheels or something like that, and i got some 2piece wheel on me 20 but f@$kt if i know what it is though. i LOVE the globe mags and i got a set of them 13 X something and I'm hunting around for a 14"/15" set cause i don't like the tyer flex and associated body-roll that goes with spongy tyers. anyone want to sell a set?? I'm goin wrecker hunting this arvo and i might find something that i like. the first pic is m hotwires and the second is the 2piece something. ultimatly i want a set of Simmonds OM16's chrome rim with white center, DROOL Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 those wheels on your brown car look like old jap enkeis or something. sweet, very rare :D Quote
muller Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 thanks man, ill have to look closer at them and see if i can find a brand or something stanped into the rim. i do like them but i don't know if id leave em on it though. altough they are pretty wide whatever they are, they almost scrub on the leaf springs. i mean wide for a little car by the way but ill have to look at the dimensions i guess. muller Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 I've got 185/60s on a 13x6 rim and they look wide on a ke20. We tried 205/60s and it looked like a steamroller so on a 10 i imagine it would look very wide. I think your current wheels look great! Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 some random guy on msn wants me to try tucking 20s under a corolla. suuuuure :) Quote
Fayt Posted December 11, 2005 Author Report Posted December 11, 2005 then tell him he's a "tucking" idiot.... Quote
