NOT TO SURE... shattered..

 

it just spins... i can let the clutch out when its in gear and nothing happens... rolls freely.

Yeah pull the backing plate and have a look.

 

Might be busted spider gears, might be 1x broken axle.

It wasn't already welded was it?

nope no weld in this one mate.... or in the last one. its odd.

 

i mean i do kick the clutch a fair bit.... but no more than anyone else would.

Brad J at Goodyear has a couple of t18 Diffs, PM him or go and see him seeing aso its just around the corner from your work

NICHY - Just checking you brought the alt to work? I'll come round this arvo.

 

Also re the diff - Have you actually checked the tailshaft is turning. If it doesn't move in gear it could also be a blown clutch, espeacially if you give it a hard time!

100% sure its not the clutch.... as the noise was coming from the rear... it used to skip a gear when taking off slowly and i had it checked out at work to make sure it was the diff when it was running ..

 

but i might check that tonight acctully... do i just chick it in gear and check if the t ail shaft is moving ?

Your current diff may be still usable with the aid of a welder.

 

definately useable with the aid of a welder...

putting a t-18 diff in my ke.... so in need of a series 1 (importaint) t-18 tail shaft or ke pano tailshaft (afaik)

 

in the launie area would be best.... but may be able to orgainze from hobart..
