B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Posted March 3, 2013 Maiden voyage after all the repairs, made it a whole 3 meters. Its is a very strange sensation to have a full clutch. And this little prick of a thing, still no idea what its out of. Quote
jon71 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 are you still looking for a through out bearing, carrier and clips? Quote

A few hours tomorrow to finish it up then I should have all next weekend for paint. Testing lip placement. Bolted on to rad support. Chucked the battery in to start it. Started first try :dancetall: Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 14, 2013 Author Report Posted March 14, 2013 Paint acquired, 2/3 the cost of my last paint job at a grand total of $120. ($66 just for paint) Quote
rian Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Keen to see how the paint job turns out. How much work do you put into sanding/buffing the paint after you've painted it? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 14, 2013 Author Report Posted March 14, 2013 Zero effort. It'll get roughed up with a green kitchen scrubber to remove all flaky bits then straight on. And as its a matte paint I doubt I'll even give it a finishing sand unless there are major lines from the rollers. This paint job is purely to get it all one colour, easy to touch up, easy to keep clean and best of all dirt cheap. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 15, 2013 Author Report Posted March 15, 2013 Put two hours in tonight, got all the pinstripes, plastic door trims and stickers off. Felt bad peeling off an original Spirit sticker :( Stole some industrial prep-sol from work which worked wonders on the sticky residue left behind nom nom nom Quote
rian Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) I think KE70s look better without bumper bars Edited March 15, 2013 by rian Quote
