Zetai Posted December 5, 2012 Author Report Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) For sure! I checked with Otomoto who I bought them from to see if they had one, they didn't. However they have one of them on a Sprinter, which looked great. See below: Edit: Props to whoever took this photo, thank you for lending it to me #disclaimer #dontsueme Edited December 5, 2012 by Zetai Quote

Zetai Posted December 6, 2012 Author Report Posted December 6, 2012 Yeah, he'll probably be the bastard causing paint cans to fall over, or a random gust of wind to mess up my paint work! ;) Quote
Zetai Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 Hey Guys, an update: Wheels arrived from Otomoto today, not bad shipping time, ordered last Friday and arrived early Wednesday 12th, shipping from NSW > TAS. Wheels look absolute porn! Tyres getting stretched on Friday do will post more pics of the stretch then. Suspension going in next weekend then getting wheels balanced. Will update as more progress happens! Regards, Ethan. Quote

wrathchild Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Hows this build going? Can't wait to hear more man those wheels look amazing!!!!!!!!!!! :D Quote
Zetai Posted February 14, 2013 Author Report Posted February 14, 2013 Hey Guys, Thanks for wanting some updates on this one! Attached are some photos of the sprints on the sev, looking like its got a lift kit at the moment, but the +5 offset is pretty much perfect, at this height, they're just inside the guard, and when lowered, I think the natural camber would tuck it in the guard. It'll be lowered next week hopefully, I'll take some more pics then and let you all know how it looks! Quote
Zetai Posted February 14, 2013 Author Report Posted February 14, 2013 I forgot to post a pic or two of the wheels before they went on the car. 50 sidewall is probably a bit much, looks a little chunky, but I'm happy with it none the less. Around 1050 all up including tyres (tyres sourced differently to wheels) What do you guys think? P.s they're 195/50/15 on 15x8 +5 Quote
rian Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) Wheels are spot on man! And $1050 is very cheap. Just needs to be lowered now. Edited February 14, 2013 by rian Quote
Zetai Posted July 13, 2013 Author Report Posted July 13, 2013 Hey guys. Got so many updates to post, completely forgot! Will post when I get home! Quote
Zetai Posted July 14, 2013 Author Report Posted July 14, 2013 Alright guys, has been a while since the last update, (only around 6 month! oops) Since late February i've been driving the Sev as my daily, which has done wonders for my bank balance in petrol! Despite the feedback I got from some, I decided to go with chopped springs all round to get the look that I wanted, and yeah, it's a little bumpy, but it's easily the most fun car I've ever had the pleasure of driving, I've grown so attached to it, and quite frankly it's just awesome! After a little while of driving it on the choppies, I got a little annoyed with the constant strained 'donk' noise I'd get if I ever pulled into a semi/steep driveway on an angle (the rear springs could literally almost fall out) I cut up some insulated hose off an old commy V6 and slipped them over the ends of the springs, this prevented the annoying sound, only for a few weeks until they either slipped off completely, or slipped up a little too far. I've just come to accept that I'm not really going to get rid of it until I go to Coilovers, which I'm fine with (I do understand I could get some Height Adjustable Rear Spring Seats from AJPS, but I mean ~300 seems a little pointless when for an extra 800 or so I could get a set of BC Coilovers anyway.)\ A couple of months ago I purchased some new tail lights as these ones, as you can see were faded and cracked and just all round a little 'how ya going'. The new ones look uh-may-zing! (The above doesn't really do it justice - poor lighting) Quote
Zetai Posted July 14, 2013 Author Report Posted July 14, 2013 The paint is fading fairly quickly, as to be expected. It's honestly done me for what I wanted, which was get me to and from work without looking toooooo horrible/ghetto. Few weeks ago I hit the newest magical number for the little 4K that could. The motor itself is going okay, It's had a weird miss since Jono originally bought it, but it's still certainly drivable. Of late, whenever I attempt to rev past 3.5-4k it literally will not do it, it sounds as though it's rev limited, however that's obviously not possible. I've narrowed it down to the Carby, it's honestly the only thing that I haven't replaced to get it working right. I've put Carby cleaner through it, taken the top off, cleaned the jets. The only thing I haven't done is taken the whole thing off and readjusted the float. I have a mate who just upgraded to a Weber, so I'm going to steal his stock Carby as it ran perfectly while on his car. I'll keep you guys updated with how that goes next weekend. Last week, I was cruising round with a mate, when all of sudden, through no fault of mine and it certainly had nothing to do with the amount I use my handbrake when i'm not parking the car, my rear right brake cylinder went POP-SPLOOSH and I had no brakes for a little while. A trip to the local Metro and $40 later I had 2 new cylinders and bled everything before putting the new ones in. Please note the excess amounts of brake oil around my wheel well... :( lol. Quote
