  • 2 weeks later...

I'm about worried about my fual system i have a big carter hight flow pump, with 3/8 fittings it says i have to run 3/8 or will kill the pump.allso people say i have to run 3/8 lines to the twin webers, only way i can see my self doing this is use the high pressher pump thats on my tank under the car. to a 2 litre aluminium fuel surge tank on the top fitting.then run a 3/8 line out of the bottom of the surge tank threw the carter bump with a new 3/8 line to the webers, then the uther line to the return on the tank?? wood thear be a ezeyer cheaper way on pluming my system up? wood using my stock lines work ok and just get a return style regulator as the one i have is just a inline low pressher with no return? anyone help me out I'm stuck on this.

Gee making it hard on your self. You need a low pressure 2.5-4.5 max, with a flow of 70litres per hour.

You do not need big pressure pumps ,big lines thats BS.

Get on to weber performance in melbourne he will set you up.

Put the pump close to the tank (in boot)and wire it to you alternator for power.

I wouldnt use the carter if its high pressure ,only cause more problems.
