Will A 2T Engine Fit In A Ke35??

Featured Replies

Hey, just wandering if anyone know if a 2tg engine out of a 75 celica will fit in a ke35?

Thanks

my mate had one back in the early 80's with one in it. Went bloody good, also the Albury car club have a member with one in it so its no problem. Guy in our car club has one with a supercharged v6 holden engine it.

Yes it will fit.

Some came with 2tg from new - search for TE37.

Well for starters you'll need a 2t-g and t50 g'box.

I think i remember Noah saying about engine mounts from the ta22 celica and the t50 g'box fitted onto the ke3x g'box crossmember.

And you'll have to modify the mounts on crossmember.

struts, pedalbox, brakes, hydro clutch mastercyl. driveshaft and diff are different as well if you want to get it close to autentic

I'm also looking in to this conversion. as ive researched ta22 engine mounts and the engine should sit on the ke35 crossmember, but sits further back and to the right.
