sic_ke Posted July 22, 2012 Author Report Posted July 22, 2012 definatley part of the fun haha. definatley will pay off wen its done. the old girl gets sandblasted on tuesday so panel work will start as soon as ive finished welding the bay n what ever lays under neath the paint... shouldnt be to bad tho. i was going to build it with a 12a bridgy but ive got everything for a 4k block ( extractors ect.) and I'm pretty keen to get back into a ke20. so the blocks been stripped n ready for paint. if anyone has pictures of 1970 ke20s id be really happy. this old girl will look original but just a few things custom ( dash ect). i need pictures of the front end mostly .... cheers gareth. sic_ke Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 soo on tuesday i dropped the old girl off to the sandblaster. went to pick it up wednesday to find one of the straightest, cleanest, rust free bodies ive ever seen... one patch of rust in her ( picture below) ive now got it in the shed in epetec ready to start. as u can see in a few engine bay shots ive got red marker round the seems and holes. there all being welded this weekend if all goes to plan :) cuting the edges off the shockie towers. shave the engine bay because lets face it the k motors don't really cover much so you may aswell take the time n show some skill and how clean u can make a car look. if your going to build a car. you may aswell put time and effort in and do it 100% perfect. not half arse like some hah... please leave feed back :) cheers gareth. alll sandblasted! body in protect epeteccleanest body ive ever seen! only bit of rust in her! B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 What kind of potato did you use to take the photos? I have a 1 megapixel potato and its not quite as good as those pictures. :lolcry: Are the shock tower bits you wanna cut off functional or will the seam welding fix them being taken out? (I'm an *E7* boy *E2*'s are a bit foreign to me) Quote
sic_ke Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 the welding will fix n keep it strong. its just a way to shave and clean the bay up. just photos of my nokia haha couldnt find my camera. Quote
