I lost my dip stick out of my 5k don't ask how... I've got a spare dip stick out of a 7k efi engine. Could someone measure up a 5k dip stick for me and tell me the length so I can work out if I can use it. Thanks.

Mine is 240mm from the F mark to the rubber flange where it touches the block tube .which is the same as a 4k

Yeah 4/5k are the same.

I just checked mine, the 7k© one is like 100mm longer!

There are a few different lengths.

 

What dipstick tube does it have?, straight one or one that curves over toward the rocker cover?

I got a bent tube on the block I have a 7k efi 1 from the F to the rubber flange it is 340mm and got a 3k one n it's 280mm are you sure a 5k is 240mm maybe I should add oil if it is!

It was easier than a pic on my phone.

We probably need to find a common way to measure the stick. There is a ribbed plug that leads to the flange on mine. So I could get 300mm or 340mm depending on where ther 'flange' is. It is the bent one.

I got 340 from the full mark to the top of the black ribbed thing

should measure the 4AFE one i have at home too..

I've found about 3 or 4 different length dipstick on 3k's, I just filled the sump to what toyota said the capacity should be and adjusted one to suit.
