is it me or is there miles of room in that engine bay?

 

i don't like the body tho, its been well done, but those arches :) so not my things

There is miles of room, because the engine has been moved back 14 inches, to get as much weight into the centre of the car as possible, the engine has also been mounted very low.

The body shell is the key to this car as every effort has been made to keep the mass of the car central, i.e. the engine and box has been moved back 14" to just behind the cross member. This has also allowed the the engine and box to be mounted lower in the shell.

 

i see....14" thats a long way! and the interior is still tidy, built in around it nicely :)

so nice, would have to be one of the nicest cars i have seen on this forum. i love mk1 escorts.

probably switches for all the gauges, and anything that goes off the ignition.

in my car i pulled out 4 switches and 3 leds all were for the water/methanol injection. if you want, you'd be amazed how many different things can be put on different switches
