5K Gasket Kits Exactly The Same As 4K?

Featured Replies

Hey, just a quick question.

Are 5k gasket kits the same as 4k? I'm getting around to doing my engine conversion and will need a few gaskets, namely the exhaust gasket for the extractors etc.

I was thinking of just buying something like this and doing it all in one go:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-4K-Engine-Gasket-Kit-/261030901888?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc6a77880

Would you guys say that's a suitable kit to be using?

thanks!

manifold gasket is em30 from bursons. if you can't source a gasket kit PM me

Excellent! thanks for that :)

Ask for an extractor gasket. It's worth it

The only thing thats different between the 4k and 5k is the head gasket. Cylinder bores are bigger in the 5k.

Or buy two and sandwich them together with a little silastic.

or get a genuine toyota one witch is a multi layer metal one that can withstand the biggest keybangers!

Extractor gaskets are one piece though, not two piece. Less leaks. They're also a bit thicker.

thats the em30 i said in the first post. derrrrpppp

... I have better things to do than memorise part numbers aha
