recently rebuilt 7mge with around 20 thou removed from the block and head. (compression should be around 10.5:1), ran it in by mildly thrashing it. But now have the problem with TERRIBLE fuel eco. my mate who was following me while i was giving it a boot said it was blowing black smoke all thru the rev range.

 

60L of 98 octance just got 300km. timing was set at the factory 8 degrees. but i could feel like it didnt want to pull nicely. therefore bumped it up to 15, went a little beter then laster bumped it up to 22! now it ʞ©$ɟing PULLS!

sorted ages ago. BHG + water injected exhaust = faulty o2 sensor.
