glenpos Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 haha i like your model grill and mine the same, i'm talking about this sort looks ok from some angles but is ugly from most, its an rt81 with drum brakes and 12r, low back seats, and yes the gauges are round, i'm talking about the holes in the dash, in your pics the bits that are painted silver are square instead of round, and they have a few different vents and stuff, same as the red corona, left is a 1971 rt81, and right is my 1970 rt80, everything is the same apart from the motor, but the red and dark blue ones have quiet a few different bits Quote
Mark90 Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Oh yeah I forgot mine are square.. Haha woops :) Quote
glenpos Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 haha you must want round ones ;) Quote

glenpos Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 i'm thinking of dropping a v6 ecotec in the dark blueone, want a skid/drift car, would be different, i'd like a v8 in one but can't afford any haha, have a few v6's sitting around.. Quote
GREAZERSOCKS Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 This is my dirty Rona, in the middle of trying to find a manual conversion for it....yes its auto haha Quote
GREAZERSOCKS Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 Brought it like it...well swapped a Vn wagon for it anyway. Il ive done since owning it for the past 5 days is replace the steering rack and make the exhaust fall off. Quote
GREAZERSOCKS Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Since no one has replied on my post asking about it. Does anyone here know if the 2s-c will bolt up to the Starfire Gearbox? Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 No but if you use an st141 engine just get the shitty gearbox with it. Quote
longboy Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) It's funny, so many people say they hate Coronas, when I tell them I drive a 1973 Corona they don't get excited at all.. Then they see it and they froth. They hate on them without even knowing what they are hahaha ahhhhh well. I'm a happy man :) quoted for truth. I have an rt104, when I tell people I drive a corona I can just see them cringing on the inside. Edited October 4, 2013 by longboy Quote
vendablefall Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Hey dudes just found this thread, i have a 73 rt81, 12r, disks on front, (as you say, the ugly one :-( ) but i love her!! heres some pics I'm going to get those rims polished and new tyres, in the meantime i will be rocking these the flapper are just sitting on the wheel in the photo, as ill install them aftyer the rwc left is a 1971 rt81, and right is my 1970 rt80, everything is the same apart from the motor, but the red and dark blue ones have quiet a few different bits are the tail lights, interchangable from the ones you have in this photo, to my style? i love the rt80 tail lights, and would love to swap them over if its possible, mine look longer so i just wanna check before buying a pair! also love the rt80 grill, any chance that is interchangable? keep the rt8X series rolling!!! glenpos Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 hey mate, that looks clean as!! the rt80 tail lights holes are smaller near the number plate, i'll have a look at the bolt holes to see if they line up, you could always weld a bit of plate in to fill the hole, and the bonnet, guards, stone tray at the bottom and rad support panel are different, also the bumpers mount different, but iv'e seen it done before, cheers mate Quote
