Legalities Of A 4Age Ae71 In Queensland.

Hi guys,

I'm still relatively new to Queensland and it's laws, I have purchased a 4A-GE AE71 from a friend in Melbourne and I will be bringing it up here and when the current registration expires I will get QLD reg on it.

However I know that states have far from uniform laws when it comes to modifications and conversions, in Victoria it isn't even very defined, some authorities say because there is no displacement increase that you don't need an Engineers certificate or anything...

Moral of the thread - What's your idea on the process of having a 4AGE AE71 legally on Queensland roads?

Bugger, I'll start trying to find a guy. Thanks for the help mate.

I'd much rather have my arse covered than get hassled for it down the track!

I'm flying to Melbourne to pick it up next week ;) , I'll bang a thread up for it ASAP!

Costs $150 - $200 to get it engineered in QLD. Cheaper than the eleven hundred billion dollars you would probably have to pay if you ran into someone and your insurance company decides they don't like you anymore because you didn't get pay to get a piece of metal stuck to your firewall.
