Hey what up? I'm back again...

I decided from reading that thing about 7k engines that I really want one of those motors!

 

I was planning to drop in a efi engine so I can buy a dry nos kit, which only injects nos at wide open throttle which should be interesting.

 

i'll have to drop the compression of the motor but apart from that, the efi stuff, the gearbox and diff what else will i need to do the swap?

 

brakes and coilovers will be ra60 celica parts

 

oh yeah, what efi parts do I need cause i don't know anything about efi

 

i plan on drifting it, so the nos will only be hooked up on track days

 

any ideas

Why don't you upgrade to AE86 running gear in the front end?

hmm, is that easy to do, or would it be expensive?

cause I'm on a tafe budget working 24hr weekends

7K's are not rare :P !

 

you just need to know where to look. Toyota still packs all of the 7k on the shelves.. not an old motor :)

 

Not to mention the amount of repco crap there is out there for one..

 

7K for lazy man conversion, 4age for more power & more frustrating.

4Ks came with EFI, But they have baby injectors and a very restrictive intake manifold/throttle body..

Just go to a comercial wrecking buisness, ask for a 7k EFI van halfcutt OR put your name down for when one comes in.

 

Then, you have everything you need, and its a process of swapping crap over. Not sure about sizing for gearbox, or gearbox mounts (><) ?

How can you be cool without NOS these days though?
