hi everyone. I'm new to this site and new to corollas. i have recently brought 2 ke55s and are planning to put a vn 3.8lt supercharged motor in one of them ( the other ones for chopping and fitting etc b4 the final chore)

alot of people on here are putting hilux diffs in ke55s and i was wondering from what model hilux are these diffs coming from? i would prefer to get one that just bolts straight up (not have to shorten etc)

can anyone help me out that ACTUALLY HAS A KE55 WITH A HILUX DIFF IN IT??

ta in advance

There is no Hilux diff which bolts directly into a KE55 or does not require shortening.

There is almost nothing which directly bolts into these cars to upgrade them.

You can make up front struts with good brakes if you get the right parts, it is discussed in the FAQ.

You will need to upgrade and customize literally everything else in the driveline.

I was going to help, but then I realized I don't have a ke55 with a hilux diff in it. In fact i don't even own a ke55.

HA Ha !sorry but the way you worded it is what YOU would expect .

No hilux diff will bolt in but some are close RN40 is 1410 mm which is from memory about 15 mm a side wider than STD.

There is a early hilux which is about 1360 ish which is close to std but you still have to cut off the mounts and re weld them.

As well change the the drive yoke or drive shaft.

But as its a hack job it doesnt matter ,as will have to be changed any way.

good luck A

rn25 hilux diff is 1370 drum to drum and is the closest fit, you just need to move the spring mounts out about 15mm from memory each side (been a while since ive done one) and it will bolt in, just need to do custom handbrake cables and tail shaft, super easy to do takes about an arvo all up to have it modified and in the car

Yeah rn25 and maybe some other earlier hilux's are 1370mm but so old I doubt you would find one in any sort of useable form.

Also consider lsd's and stud pattern which will be your next issue. For that hp maybe the skyline diff r31 as it has lsd options

and 114.3x4 pcd. Apparently you shorten the longer side and use the axle from another r31 diff shorter side to fit.

Is this road, track, drag or burnout?
