Hey all, fairly new to the Corolla community. I am wondering if anyone knows what the black box looking thing next to the battery tray is called and what it does, it has nippondenso written on it. I would upload a photo but I'm having trouble as file is to big.

Square or round? If round its probably the charcoal canister

Can reduse the file size of the pic buy reducing it with windows paint

Yeah it Is round, it has a few hoses that lead to no where and one that looks like a brake line, what would happen if I completely remove it?

I think what happens if you get rid of the charcoal canister is you will smell petrol fumes all the time, especially when parked in the sun on hot days.
