So, is anyone from Rollaclub going? My entry has gone in for both days, and we're most probably staying at Mooloolaba for the Friday and possibly Saturday night. This year they've changed the event, and now it spans over 2 days (although you can enter for only 1 day if you so wish). So I'm guessing it's going to be BIG (what with having the ARC there too), possibly bigger than Queensland Challenge? Who knows...

I've only driven my car once this whole year, and it was a motorkhana, and I didn't do all that well at all, so I don't have very big aspirations. Plus, most of the results will stem down to the navigation anyway, so I'm just out for a good time :D 2 new sticky tyres have been delivered, now I just have to try and see if I can get the brakes to work properly, hope the leaky wheel bearing (which has now stopped leaking) isn't going to prove a problem, and try to get my headlights to work (only my highbeams work at the moment). Will probably have to do a bit of rewiring. Might touch up the paint a little if I feel motivated, but I don't like the chances of that happening.

Anyway, hope to see some familiar faces out there (maybe except Rob, cause he'll beat all of us plebs, hahaha :( j/k)

Well, I'm back. And considering this is Pauline's first event of the year, and my 2nd, I think we did well. And oh boy, how fun it was :) As a summary, my tyres that were new on Thursday, are now bald :lolcry: Oh boy it was fun :lolcry: Even had the front wheels off the ground at one stage (back wheels going down a gully!). Wheee!!! :lolcry:

Yeah it was a really tight field. We cleansheeted the navigation over both days, only accumulating 5 minutes of time penalty, and we *still* came in 3rd!

In the speed section, I was 4 seconds slower than 3rd, 5 seconds slower than 2nd, and 29 seconds slower than 1st - which was a 2.5L WRX STi with antilag, launch control, and just about everything you could possibly toss at a WRX. I have no idea how much power they were pulling, but I recon it would be a fairly ridiculously high number!
