Rolla Newbie Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 The beast I got from my mate actually has a 3K in it. Goes ok. But is there a huge gain to put a 4K in it? Looking at the HP and torque figures on the FAQ, the 3k seems a little more powerful.... Is there any huge difference in the drivability of the thing likely? No, I don't want to drift, just want a reliable car that is not so slow in the peak hour traffic. Is fine once wound up but slow to take off. Paul Quote
Nitephyre Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) yup there will be, even better go 5K.. more torque is the main factor ;) Edited August 8, 2006 by Nitephyre Quote
anastasios Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 I wouldnt spend time upgrading to a 4k, did someone put that 3k in it? The easiest thing to do would probably be 4ac or if your going to take the motor out u might as well put a ge into it. Quote
coln72 Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Waste of time swapping to a 4K. Did it to an ex's car and wish we stuck with the 3K. Swaping to a 5k or 7k would be different though...... Quote
tas_ae71 Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 depends on your budget.. how much you want to spend. but i would go 5k or 7k no point convertion it to a 4ac, as they probaly only have 10 or so hp more than a 4k.. plus the expence of the cponversion it adds up as i am finding out. as i am doing this. its also hard to get your mits on somethings. chuck in a 5k, 5 speed and a webber and your set..
