Teddy
Hey all Well, if u don't know already, i have purchased my 3rd Ke70 :) ! And its yellow ! This 1 was $100, Its got a re-coned motor 50,000 ago, its got a toebar, all the interiour is there, and the best bit - working, COLD airon ! So, for $100, i wasnt gona let it slip away ! Now, this is why this post has the title "Need to Hire some slaves 4 the day! " On the holidays comin up, i wanta put this aircon into my car. 2 night, i took basically everything off the dash, except the blower / air con unit / controles etc. - Its lookin bare, but adleast i know how 2 do it now / where all the screws are. Anway, on the holidays, I'm lookin for people 2 help me put the aircon inoto my white car - i couldnt do it my self, and I'm sure id reward any 1 who wants to help / show me how 2 do it... ive got no-idea-where-to-start ! Yes / no / ideas ? My holidays are about 3 / 4 weeks away or so. Thanks People !!!!!!!!!!!! Teddy

Felix
bleh..good ole WD40 for me Windows Down at 40mph :) what's aircon??? ahh, that's what the quarter glass windows are for right? :) i just put a heater in becs '68 ke16. never had one standard, optional extra. it has central locking though. :D someone else installed that b4 we got the car. degassing and regassing would be the biggest hassles i think. pretty sure some older aircon systems need to be modified to be made compatible with modern aircon gas. environmental issues. not sure if this would affect you at all teddy? andrew
it is very easy to do, even if the car did'nt even have aircon as an option. i would be very willing to help as i have done this conversion before, depending on when it is. degassing and regassing would be the biggest hassles i think. pretty sure some older aircon systems need to be modified to be made compatible with modern aircon gas. environmental issues. not sure if this would affect you at all teddy? not exactly. degassing = easy. regassing = aircon specialist. you can still get the old system gas. just costs a bit more :)
