hey guys My plan is to get a standard 4k block and modify into a race engine, ill get forged pistons prob around 83mm a race crankshaft and camshaft not sure on sizes yet??? will do alot of head work like bigger valves and ports. My first question is what are the best brands for pistons, crankshaft and camshafts(crowcams etc). Where is the best place(ebay, online or shops) and what size valves and ports should i go on the head ????? Second if i do all this to the engine will i need a longer stroke if so how much by???? What are the best conrods for the job???? Third if i am doing a elec dissy where do i get those rebuilt starlet dissy's form the states, my plan is to run individual coils per spark plug which will make a better and more accurate spark :yes: what kind of module should i run and whats the best one ???? I will be running this engine in my future sprinter and will have 40mm webbers and i will hope to take this car to track days around aus to all the great race tracks !!! :happy: Sorry for all the ques but this is all i think about at work and what to do???? :hmm:

Update......... Great news after my hard work and all the moaning and groaning i finally got the diff in and finished her only just before lol :dance: Went for a drive to test her out and waaaa waaa waaa BUGGER :bash:, The diff center bearings are gone :bash: so now ill have to change centers from old to new diff but ill prob get someone to do it seeing how its a huge job on these diffs :blinks: Oh well I'm glad it works and it will be ready for another motorkhana tomoz woop woop :lolcry: see ya jimi

Update..... ok guys got myself a new diff from wreckers and came with all the arms and handbake cables :lolcry: we looked at the plate and its a 3.9:1 woop woop score :dance: did some work and started to pull the diff out not to much but little buy little it will be done!! will have to get some parts now and another wheel bearing retainer and maybe seals and bushes :bash: oh well it will have a fresh rear end in it for my sis :wink: see ya jimi

yeah don't worry all my workmates have had a dig!! but i wasnt doing anything stupid i think she understeered a bit then heaps of oversteer (sometimes when i do get sideways i take my foot of and it goes straight) but this time it was way out of control and it just kept sliding :bash: thanks anyway mate na it looks ok i just havent had a good look yet need to take old one out first see ya jimi

well had an accident on the weekend it was very wet and went around a tight corner and crashed the rolla and did a fair bit of damage :sob: yep its bad and it gets worse those where dads favorite rims and ya can't get them anymore :bash: oh well I'm hopefully picking a new diff up soon with parts seeing how i bent the axle, panard rod and left shocker mount... so I'm hoping i can get her back on the road soon and take it easy next time I'm driving :hmm:

yeah thats right it is group g basically, from what ive heard its what ever u can fit under the bonnet but it still has to be road legal??? :hmm: But like everyone is saying its who has the deepest pocket!!! >| My idea if i had the money would be to build a corolla rally car with a 20V turbo, even a beams engine turbo, 3sge the list goes on...... hey guys Ive put the speakers in the rear temporarily until i can secure them down properly but I'm having problemswith the front speakers when i adjust the unit to even the back and rear speakers distort but when it is setup to full back speakers the rear ones are fine and it works awesome???? any ideas would be greatfull I'm running a alpine head unit with Sony 4' speakers in front and 6x9 kickers in rear which are all brand new!!! see ya jimi
