Update....... Spent the weekend working on the car :blinks:, i got all new parts for the old girl and decided to put them on the car i got a brake master cylinder, clutch master and a slave cylinder after spending a bit of time fitting all the parts and putting new fluid throw the systems i had brakes and a decent clutch YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH :lol: lol also during the week i put one of the dorrs on but havent finished it yet still got to check all the inside of door doesnt close properly prob cause door handle is jammed :blinks: but ill just transfer stuff from old to new door cause the old door parts all work :blinks: see ya jimi ps.. drove the car up and down the driveway and she goes alright lol :blinks: just need to do rust shit now :blinks:

Update..... Went out today and got the basics for a tune got spark plugs, leads, points, rotor button, dissy cap(on order and on way). Started up the old girl and she was much better then before!!! Yah all better now ;) I had a look at the plugs when i took them out and they were black as prob from sitting around from so long leads where rock hard as well!! Tommorow... my aim is to check the timing, put doors on passenger side and get wire brush any where else i missed!!! see ya jimi

Update.... Went out tonight and thought id get a wire brush on a drill and grind all the bubble spots and where the rust is in small spots, after grinding away for a bit my worst nightmare happened holes started appearing as i grinded away the paint and rust flakes :( most of it is in sills, bottom of guard, and the lip of the boot Any way pics... I put some paint on all the areas i exposed so now ill have to ask my panel beater friend on how to fix the holes up now lol :lol: see ya jimi

hey theres a few ways to do it mate but i know of 2, the first is heat gun and a scraper this takes a while but it works the other way ive heard of is DRY ICE!!! thats right ive heard if ya put some on the dednar it aparently breaks off and is quick and easy just might explode in ya face :P lol see ya jimi

Update....... Got great news guys i got all the stuff from the wreckers today and they look great!!!! but when i took a closer look at the sill i got it had rust in it :bash: luckily its not in the section i need :bash: I'm happy with this door cause it has a mirror :laff: Went to vicroads as well and found out i can register the old girl boo yah!!!!! :bash: just need to get a roadworthy and a recite from the person i bought it off which is easy cause i work with them :y: I chucked the car on some car ramps to make it easier to work on and had a look underneath and checked everything and the gearbox was leaking extremely bad :bash: but ill just put a 5 speed in now which will fix that :P :bash: bugger it looks crap!!! hahah yeah thanks, that was my prob i had to see if i could get panels but i was lucky and found some :y: lol yeah i know it will be so much better then my current daily i drive but i might get a blanket as well lol :P the good thing with this car is the cops wont touch me cause it looks like ive got grandmas car for the day :bash: see ya jimi
