  1. Yeah man, i don't have it together yet but i know about having to get the pistons fly cut to clear the valves, its part of the work i need done to the engine before i put it back together Theres a guide done on here by robj using a ke70 rack and he said it work perfectly with no bump steer at all! but thanks ill definitely have a look at what they are doing with starlet racks
  2. well i got to drive it again for the first time in a while, and now i really want to sort out the steering i guess before i was used to it but now it feels horrible hahaha so rack and pinion conversion is on the table, i will set it up with the new crossmember so it will go in with the motor :) theres a nice long list of things that will probably go wrong when i finally put the engine in  all part of the fun
  3. i like twins! twin mikuni solex 40mms on a manifold provided by ryan (cheers mate) slowly piecing together the puzzle Does anyone know of a shop that does good head work? i need to get a bit done before i can put it all back together. cheers guys, more to come
  4. $150 for a ke25 is is a good deal! look forward to seeing what you do with it will
  5. cheers ryan, ill take you up on that in a couple of weeks
  6. its only a cop shop defect, but theres a bit of rust in the left chassis rail, i might get that welded up before i try to get her back on the road.
  7. slight set back, got defected cos my front left tyre was bald on the outside, i got positive camber ewwwww just gotta get a new tyre, put the stocko steering wheel back on and I'm good holefully if not i guess ill just take her off the road and try to do everything that i want to do before i get her back on the road
  8. cheers ryan and ben, I'm going to find some ae86 ps arms and get an adapter for the ball joint off of techno toy tuning. ke25 and te27 camber tops are exactly the same and cusco do a pretty good one for $350. I'm jealous that you got those te27 steering arms, that would have been nice, I'm not sure how the lengths of the te27 arms compare to the 86 arms. other than that, I'm buying all the parts like coilover sleeve and springs and weld it all together myself. as far as brake boosters go, i have no idea, they confuse me haha so ill probably end up just paying someone to do that for me and id say your a few steps ahead of me seeing as my motor is in bits haha also the head is no longer yellow like in the pics above!
  9. Did anyone say TE27 cross member? no? well ill tell you anyway the cross member has arrived from new zealand and school is nearly over so very soon ill be able to get some work done on this
  10. hey Andrew, that base coat looks overrated, i love seeing more ke25 on here, and i reckon you should et your hands back on a 2tg  but a 4age is cool good luck with the rest of the project
  11. i like it! there isnt a lot you need to know about ae86 struts that you don't know already, and a big brake upgrade is easy with rx7 kits are available from ajps, and coilover kits are easy to get aswell. thats what I'm doing good to see another ke25 on here, good luck
  12. bit of an update got some ae86 struts waiting on some coilover sleeves, for a suspension and brake upgrade. also got a te27 cross member almost on the way so the engine conversion will be a nice bolt in. still need ae86 hubs, rotors and calipers coilover sleeves flycut the 3t pistons head work carbs diff once the car is back on the road oil cooler and temp sensor te27 flares fender mirrors fancy ignition body work
  13. theres the ke30 4 door in russell coight's all aussie adventures http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwfdYnSj5Vg

nice car mate! I'm glad your getting rid of the one piece front section haha  is it going on the street or the track? id love to see a t series motor in this :y: decided on what colour you going to go for? will
  18. alright, got a fair bit done yesterday, took apart both motors and now theres a nice pile of parts in my garage  lets start with the block yeah? who ever had it before decided they'd paint it black for me! after brushing the dust off it came up a treat! the head! can anyone recommend any shops that do good head work fairly cheap? looking for a good port and polish and some nice big valves everything else... 13t block and head are FOR SALE pm if some one wants them
  19. and here we go! not sure why the front an head were painted yellow, but that will be fixed soon
  20. there is a new member to the family on the way! thats right tomorrow i will pick up a heavy chunk of metal with 4 pistons, 8 valves, dohc, 1.6L :greenbounce: ill get some picks up tomorrow night :worship:
  21. i love ma61 seats, they are great, not sure how much modding is required in the seat rails tho looks like you gotta cut your guards, you can see them under the flares, youll get more clearance and can run some wider wheels or phater offset when you lower it. car looks pretty straight overall, whats with the black shit on the hood? haha id get rid of that :y:
  22. haha quick to get on it! i like it, get a build thread going! i wanna see this beast, yeah I'm doing like the same thing as you, just a different colour and engine, what gear box you planning on using? cas the tranny channel isnt very big in these things.

  23. haha alright, i knew they had the same bore and the difference was in the stroke, but i wasnt sure if there were any random differences in block weight. cheers
  24. sweet car dude! love the 2/3t hybrid, gotta get a 2tg head on there tho :y:
