  1. wicked. cheers. thats ke70 yeah? (just asking cos youve got a different corolla in your avatar)
  2. for insert x referencing. i know its smaller than the more common old toyota size.. but by how much?
  3. green are oil only, so i think theyre about the only trds that can be rebuilt. try www.trs.com.au pretty sure thats it. or just google the shock re conditioners. theyre at slacks creek.
  4. the S series block design is actually originally intended for rwd. if you look at a 3sg apart youll see it has massive oil returns.. oil drainage insnt an issue on the gen 2 i can say that for certain, we have a customers car we did a conversion that has been running reliably for some time. i think people over stress about the intake side mounting too.. we have jags (the customers) engine mount just using the 2 bolt in the vertical plane and its fine. the biggest issue is sorting out a flywheel/bellhousing/starter motor combo. water isnt too hard. the oulet off the thermostat points forward convienatly for rwd. the inlet though is at the back of the head and neads a pipe fabricated to run forward. there are alot of issues but it is doable. toymods in the best resource for this conversion for sure. especially the old forums. which is still link from the new site i think. dig around there and youll find alot of answers.
  5. cars sold to a mate bill. 20v's going in right now.
  6. with the 1pc sigma arms on a ke70 you get about 3* negative with a neutral setting on the camber tops. the towers are further apart on a ke than an ae86. hence less camber. if you can get a good small port package (with ecu ect) 16v is very worth doing. they are a little hard to track down though yes. i toally agree with the comment 20vs are easier to come by and well priced compared to 16vs. but there is added expense in making them rwd, plus the intake once you get around to doing it properly is more expensive. also management is somewhat of an issue. i personally wouldnt run factory ST management.. air box plus afm is a little tricky and always ends up ruining the aesthetics.
  7. i was the one driving the beige ke70 :( just saying hi if youre on here.
  8. i might be wrong, but i expect your core market to be ke70s. that being said i think you should work around the engine placement being able to use a stock ae71 gearbox cross member and tail shaft. that will also mean an ae86 tailshaft will work (with an ae86 diff) it is just becoming a super common conversion, so might be smart to work around that. just a suggestion.
  9. yeah outside ants. no real plans at this stage depends how long i keep it. maybe a stock ae86 drivers seat (one in the car is collapsed, a larger fellow owned it before me) maybe nitrous. seriously. the big port CR isnt too high, and its single throttle not quads so would be sorta easy to set up. maybe use the cold start injector for extra fueling? or i also have this little fuel controller, run that switched with the nos for enrichment? i don't know anything about nitrous, but it sounds like a fun idea.. but yeah that or maybe cams.
  10. its wynumm rd cannon hill. near the pizza hut.
  11. the system is a mandrell bend off the headers then 2" section welded (no bends) it only has that single read muffler you can see that came off a standard ae86 system. (its 2" in but 1 3/4"? out?) with my rack is very slightly off centre i think. that or i was just loading one side more on lock becuase the car has enough lock for the inside of the tire to touch the back of the chassis rail. this is which the sigma lca and pretty low offset fron rims i have. so yeah it has a decent amount of lock. the steering is very heavy though with the ps arms AND the quick rack. yeah from brisbane. glad you guys like it :D
