  1. I'm using a Celica/Corona 2S bellhousing - all we had to do was weld an extra tab on and helicoil a hole already in the block and she bolted right up :) Hardest part was mounting the starter into the bellhousing, as there's nowhere on the block to mount it Power's great for most things I've ried so far, it still struggles a bit with fourth gear stuff around Eastern Creek, but we've got ITB's and cams on the way to fix that hopefully :) I haven't weighed it, but it sits higher on the springs than it did before. No steampipe manifold, turbo and plumbing helps bring the weight down. No modifications to firewall or tunnel :) It all fits
  2. Found an Aurion S/C on eBay, but did a bit of research... they are massively undersized for the engine. Eaton recommends the maximum capacity of only 2.4L... plus.. the snout would stick out of the bonnet :P
  3. I'm currently working in Sydney, so it'll be out and about there :) Upcoming events will be: Motorkhana in Canberra on the 18th Heading to Raleigh drift comp on the 1st Then the next weekend is Toynats in Dubbo and hopefully the IDA day in Wakefield on Monday ...this is all pending whether I can string enough cash and rubber together :P
  4. Sick, thanks for the name change :)
  5. Change my name from Stevumi back to ToySprinta? We took about 700ml out of the sump, but fitted an oil cooler and lines to make up for it. We've got planes to build a dry-sump setup for it in the near future anyway :)
  6. And who do I talk to about changing my stupid forum handle :P
  7. So had it at Powercruise on the weekend and foudn out that: - In the wet, it'll happily smash limiter in 4th anywhere you like, and almost pull fifth around turn 12 - In the dry, it runs out of revs in third and the RPM drop to fourth means I have to straighten up before I can get enough speed to turn 4th sideways... damn fast though We're going to lift the limiter to 8000rpm to see what she'll do http://youtu.be/NNw0FPhcJhs
  8. I bought it for $500 bucks with a stuffed engine and mags. Blew the 1st engine up, and beat around with another 4ac, even went to my 1st track day with it. Now a 6 years later, it now has: ENGINE Toyota Aurion 2GR-FE DRIVELINE Custom Chromoly 3S-GTE Flywheel and clutch W57 Locked Hilux diff 4.11 STEERING, SUSPENSION AND BRAKE Front and rear whiteline swaybars, springs and shocks Whiteline bushes T3 Cambertops T3 NRCA's Whiteline tower brace Custom rear strut brace/ harness mount NP Wonder knuckles Wilwood front brakes S13 rear brakes Whiteline Rear Traction Brackets INTERIOR from the front seats back - gone Fibreglass fixed back bucket Driver and passenger 4 point harness Speco tacho Autometer guages Bond's 6-point cage EXTERIOR VTX copy kit Fibreglass vented bonnet TRD ducktail Pics of motor going in :) How it looks now :) I've fitted a cage, Willwoods, modded the sump and made up some headers :) These should help me stop nicely Modded the sump to fit :) Got some new knuckles for more lock :) OLDNEW Starting to feel the crunch now! Its getting there though. After trying out a few pipe designs, we figured that this layout wouldn't work: This one would work a little better I think... Putting theory into practice: One side done! Rinse and repeat for the other side! :) Not too shabby at out first crack at headers in my mates tin shed :) Yeah flat torque curve :) http://youtu.be/BsK_1AVXZZY Going for grip in this one http://youtu.be/dMd6Mf4RxDI My mate Grub checking out the grass http://youtu.be/_vkQeyoa4zA
