Ben they look shit, only car that kind of pulls it off is the Te27, ANyway what is plastic flares going to do ? it might cover the wheel for legal purpouses but the orginal guard will still be there for the wheel to rub on, I'm pretty sure he doesnt want to cut out his guards. EDit : I Recently got my lips of my guards pulled outwards , came out very well and I gained a extra 15-20mm do it. Does anyone know the name of this process?

Thats just wide wheels with some skinny tyres streched on and guards have been liped. which means the inner lip inside the guards have been rolled flat against the wall of the guard.

Widebody ke 70 ! :happy: Edit : super bumped gaurds or archs cut out and new sheet metal welded in, plastic flares ?? Many options. I looked into a widebody ke70 , touring car style. hmmmm

I don't think there is a guide on how to weld new archs in but I did it for my ghetto sled and can give you some pointers

I've seen some 2j in ke70 2 doors , they all come out of north America for some reason , they love there ke70s . All built for drag , running some strong numbers .

Yea thats what you must look for in a ke70 .. old toppie( Grandfather )thats had it from new or second owner, up on the reef so no rust, will have some normal car park dents, faded paint, smells like old person in it 300,000 plus k's , grimy engine that still runs perfect , starts first time. perfect !!!

Yea i nearlly fell into that microtech trap. can't remember exactly what they quoted me to change from a Rb25 to a 4k-e was around $200-$300

If you go out looking for a clean ke70 you will wait years for 1, the car is 30 years old and back in its day it wasnt anything special , it was used and abused like most corolla's BUT thats the point of building them ! To learn how to do repairs , rust fixing , paint ,fixing basic engine problems all that stuff. It cost me what I sold it for $3000 (R24000) thats nothing !

Hahaha ke70 was just to much ghetto for the po-po ! Its rollaclubs car of the year 2011 ! But building my Mr2 now for the track .I will build another ke70 maybe panelvan/ wagon . When I left they were just starting those drags by Greyville , speed and sounds Super boss ( holden astra )use to thrash everything except for some of those Nissan champs ( datsun ute ) I remember my friends golf getting nailed by ishaka for being low , loud , wheels. Is it still the same scene tho ? Huge chrome wheels on the city golfs big exhausts and low ? Has the whole euro scene worked its way in with smaller wheels but much wider , stretched tyres , silly camber , sticker bombing ? I do believe the south African Rxi is there most performance model .
