  2. hey guys, My names Matt or MattJA in the forums. I live in Mildura NW of Vic. New to rollas and the forums. I have a ke25 delux atm, stripped right down as i just started my project. although I'm looking for another ke25 coupe running (or close to it) so pleeease let me know of any, close to stock the better. around the $1000 mark. I have been looking everywhere. Looking to put a 3sge or 2T, 4age into her, but not sure. Too many options. Cheers boys and girls.

  5. yah thought you might have. i havnt even had eny luck finding a 2T so i have givin up. I'm liking the idea of a 4age on carbys. give us a shout out if you every come across a 4age and you don't need it haha
  6. leaving the firewall alone is a big bonus. i was wanting to go carby with the 4age or 2T. but idea of a 3sge is like sex in the back of my mind. and i don't want to do what Jordain did and buy 3 different motors and change my mind haha decisions decisions. if bolting a cosy head onto a pinto block ultimately drives the hp up, can you, or is there any gain in bolting a 20v 4age head and ITBs onto 16v block???? I'm not really keen on the 4age 20v
  7. Jordain, ive read your whole thread and its so long i have forgotten, do you still have that 2T motor?? car looks freaking tough. hell of a job. your 3sge has again halted my decision on what to put in my 25. cheers, matt

  9. there is a fair bit of modding for the 3sge isnt it?? mounting, fire wall, gbox tunnel, housing, tailshaft?? i would love the 3sge but my mate and i are doing cars up each, hes doing a ford pinto in an escort, and we are trying to keep it similar.
  10. any reason why they convert them to carby fed?? would it be difficult to do? and with much of a power loss?
  11. haha don't think he would be impressed. we were both trying to stick to carby!!?? his pinto is carby. but I'm still not sure. the 4ag or 4age I'm thinking is the difference between carby and EFI?
  12. so the next topic of discussion is which 4age to go? I'm sure you all have different experiences with the differnt models. I'm not sure why but I'm thinking of 16v? :hmm:
  13. alright boys looks like I'm going for the 4age, you have talked me into it. 18rg's are out of the equation. plus i have found a few 4 age motors already, havnt seen a 2T. going to have a read around on what to do to the 4age now for prime hp ie bore, stroke, head, crank etc. i just want to beat his scort but fairly, not just bolting a turbo on :happy: i have found alot of more information on the conversion too which is good. cheers for all your discussions too lads its been good. half the fun is talking about these little beauts. if anyone knows of any ke's for sale could they let me know? I'm looking for a dailey stockish aswell as doing my project. :)
  14. nah not in a club as yet. would love to find one though. i think I'm now heading towards the 2T, agreed that they look sweet along with the 4age in the bay :) and i would like to keep it all toyota too.
  15. how would the 2T match? then i can just see whether i can find a 2T or 18R. the 2T is lighter than the 18R isnt it???? i would love to go 3sge eventually...
  16. i think he is picking up a 2L pinto OH and is trying to find a cosworth head. ive found the old rally corollas used a 2T in most cases so i think I'm going to see how much i can find one for. i know there old but so are ke's :)
  17. abbott, definitely let me know if you do. I will look to take some photos an what not along the way. doing two at the same time should definitely make for easier conversions. yet i still havn't made up my mind. going forced induction is always a teaser in the back of my head but i would like to stay NA. going to try and follow the celica/corolla rally engine specs a bit. my mate and i are both doing up cars (hes doing a MK11 Escort). and want to go to events together. once i decide what I'm doing i will start my thread.
  18. Yep I hear you. Shouldnt be a problem making those mounts. Obviously just making sure I set the angle and height of the engine correctly. I have just read too much stuff with too many pros and cons with each conversion and engine. Each conversion individually i should be able to handle, It's just working out whats going to be more worth while, looking at cost, range of parts available and weighing up the gain of each conversion of each when their done. Thats why I'm talking with you blokes :) Pretty much just have to make a decision. cheers
  19. cheers for the reading. Well I like the sound of that. I have also just ran into the 18R-G class engines while reading about the T class motors. Now i don't know if reading is a good thing or bad :( Does anyone know of any conversions with the 18R-G or opinions, or any knowledge at all?? i think I am coming up with too many choices now :bash:
  20. So I'm leaning towards the 4age or 2T at this stage. I have sent off emails for a few prices. Which generation 4age should i try and get? i have been reading up and they say there are different power rating for each generation and reliablility ratings???????? I have also read on a few ocasions that the 2T is direct bolt in :hmm: but as is the case with most conversions that wont be true...........
  21. Hi guys, I am in need of some help to make a decision on what engine to put in my ke25. A 5k, 7k, 3sge, 4age or 2TG. I have looked and read sh!t loads of threads, posts, reviews, comments on each, yet cannot make a decision. Myself, mate and old man will be able to do most if not all of the work ourselves, obviously looking to keep the cost down, but not much of an issue. I want a daily that will have the chance to embarrase or surprise people :) I thought it was time to bring it to the rollaclub people and see what you dudes think. cheers,
