  1. yeah if its been on there a while... white is a cheap color, and its only a small car. respray! looks like theres a bit of damage from the visor too. or is it superficial?
  2. haha my bad  , looks like the white parts are the sticker
  3. get rid of the sticker and paint the roof white :D
  4. had a good day today, wraped the extractors, and got a few little things sorted out.... Anyway, everyone loves pictures This was how the brakes were when I got them And with the new disks extractors ready for wrap And after ill hit the wrap with sealant tomorow.... if I can be bothered then finally fit them and the rest of the inlet stuff, I'm kind of thinking about a bigger carb, due to mine being a 'k' carb and running on a 4k its punching above its weight. cheers
  5. went at it again today, and like everything its 1 step foward 2 back lol while tidying the brake lines i noticed the ball joint had a split in the back of the rubber boot upon inspection the drums had been leaking and brake fluid has eaten the rubber away. so now I have stripped the front struts and steering arms out to replace the ball joints..... also had a crack at heat wrapping my extractors that turned out to be a pain ( I was on my own ) so that will be redone later.... silver lining is that ill have new ball joints... :D also tryed to get the size of the pin for ya Reed, but with the front end in bits i couldnt get under there ( the spare carrier is on the ground lol ) I'v got 2 days back at work then its new ball joints new brakes fitted and bled and have another go at the heat wrap...
  6. lol, 'damaged' packaging. I'm sure it can't hurt my old carb leaks around the accelerator pump, and all of it looks stock. So ill have a mate look at it, (I'm not good with fiddley stuff) and hopefully it goes for another 30 something years
  7. the carb kit was at repco in the bargain bin lol, and the disks are through spencer gulf bearings,
  8. well the waggs now has disks on the front, after f*** assing with bits i have them all fitted and ready to be bled. also got new disks and a carb rebuild kit,
  9. yeah my speedo is stuffed, got a new cable to fix it, and it didnt do anything, gave the cable to my mate and it fixed his. the only problem is the gps speedos aint cheap, and there in the US, but you can get a 52mm one and hide it. http://www.speedhut.com/
  10. Haha, supercheap I'm allways in there, why didnt I think of that  It's been a while since an update, so here we go, pulled my finger out and finished the exhaust, got the thermo fan all mounted wired and working sweet, I have no idea how the old steel 2 blade thing that was on there worked, Put all the front end back together, with new headlights, now I can retire the old candle power ones :P At the moment I'm playing with the idea of fitting a gps speedo in the original dash, sounds crazy but theres a mob in the us called speedhut, that make heaps of different styles and sizes, bonus is I can get a speedo in km/h that has a fuel gauge or temp gauge in it aswell I'm just trying to get it the right size so I don't have to cut my original one up to much, but on the other hand the only thing on the old one that works is the temp guage..... and thats only if it feels like it.... well thats where its at for the moment, I'm back in there on monday so ill take a few update photos ect cheers
  11. I had my ke16 rad recored with a 3 core at natrad for $250,
  12. just a question, we started the rolla today and it wont idle. Having a closer look we have deemed the carb needs a rebuild, so where is the best place to get a kit from? I'm not 100% but I think my carb is from a 'k' or whatever the car came standard with, it only has 1 vac line to the dizzy. Any help would be appreciated
  13. had some people ask about the fj40 I had previous to the rolla, ill put a few picks up, and a few other random ones of my big waggs The fj40 lol I love that one :D And the ss oh I almost forgot the Ke55.... although it looks good the 55 didnt have a single good thing going for it there was so much rust and bog and the clever use of gaffer tape, but that little 4k just kept going, I drove it 500kays home 1 hour after i bought it for $400 :P
  14. Haha your not wrong about the similar looks, I'm thinking yours is 3 times the size of my little beast :D
  15. haha, I was iffy about the white, in person its a really bright white. All my mates call it colgate
  16. god I love that photo chop :y: :y: , I went for a slightly higher profile tyre, just because mines a bit lower in the bum,
  17. has any one got a pair of these laying around? I only need the lenses,
  18. cheers mate, I'm waiting for a reply from the bloke, Ill let you know how it goes
  19. Dang it :hmm: hope the guy has them for sale, I can only assume he does, hes changed to 114.3 so he wouldnt have any use for them. Cheers Jono
  20. Random update, got the thermo on, and the temp controller ect.... also tracked down a set of Ke25 front disks dust shields and calipers, I'm hoping ill be able to get rid of the drum front Iv had a good read through of Jono's Disk brakes for noobs thread :P so it seems within my cobbleing skill range can I use my hubs (Ke16) with the ke25 setup? this is the only thing thats got me ??? Cheers, Mick
  21. Hey Jono, great write up, I'm hunting some disks now :P just a quick question, will ke25 gear be the same as the ke20?
  22. haha that was sort of the reason I dove on it. like I said, I hadnt seen one before this one, I had seen ke26 wags and harrased the bloke to sell it to me but he just laughed at me.
  23. haha I don't really have choice, I'm running a 4spd so anything over 90 is screaming, well with 13" rims mine is just tucking in the rear, and I can go lock to lock with no issues I'm fairly sure my rims are mazda 626, 13" 5.5, they fit well
  24. low and slow mate, thats my mantra, at its lowest point the body sits 14cm from the ground, but the spare carrier is only 7 or 8cm so it makes driveways interesting I had a look at your wags, its a lot cleaner than mine mate, just needs to be brought down to the earth a little more ;)
  25. as of the new photos its got black mazda "13s with 65profile tyres, the photos with the white walls are the standard 12" rims with cheese cutter tyres on them its got 3" blocks in the rear, and 2 1/2 reset springs in the front, and thats it,
