  3. Well went to the wrecker today, asked if he had what I needed and to my surprise he did! he just said, come in and dig through this box.... said box turned out to be an old crate full of jap thermostats. after 10 mins I had 2 ke30 ones :D So now I play the waiting game while the gasket goo dries. Heres a few random picks of it, forgive the overcast day. Oil catch can I put in today as well Not a lot of room between the shed and house lol lucky its a rolla :D And a random dash shot, I'm trying to find a better spot for the gauges... but column mount will do for now. Cheers
  4. I would do that, but I think mines completely stuffed. Its cracked all the way through from top to bottom
  5. haha, but where will all the wet weather heroes get there spare parts?
  6. Hmm I didn't want to do that, but it looks like that's whats going to happen, The problem is the wrecker here will crush any thing older than a vn.
  7. Well just went to take the rolla for a spin to the beach and as I started it I heard the sound of fluid meeting concrete. there's a crack in my bottom thermostat housing :bash: soooo the epic hunt for a new one starts. I spose its a good thing it shit its self at home, as I was going to go to the AJD in Adelaide this weekend. So Anyone know the part number for the housing? form what I have been seeing around the place they are a bit hard to come by. God I hope not.
  8. Instead of stalks for your seat belts could you use the short ones from a rear of a 35/55 ?
  9. like I said, Your a champ
  10. nah the bloke i got it from destroyed the blanking plate, so its in the dash, but I'm 6ft 2 so i have the seat all the way back and i still need to fold my legs up to get in there lol
  11. your a champ Reed, I was getting sick of choking my self when ever I go to change song lol
  12. just doing some lunch time research, what is the go with fitting retractable seatbelts in a ke1x? Is it as simple as it sounds. ie, using existing mounting points. And whats the best car to get them from? Cheers
  13. Cheers Reed, It did look a bit bare and I had them hanging up in the shed, I think the center caps are from a corona. they will do until I find some little ssr mk2s lol.
  14. little bit of trim
  15. Its an absolute ball to drive it as well, I'm not to sure on the steelies, mite try to find some oldschool jap rims for it
  16. ]You know when you have one of those days when things just work... I finally got one of those days!
  17. Well got shed loads done today, its running and driving under its own steam ( only just ) seems my asthmatic carby is no longer up to the task. so the hunt is on for a bigger carb! apart from that its just small leaks and things to sort out and adjust.
  18. Its been a while so I thought an update was in order, Its back on the ground now, so all the fronts finished. started it up to move it and it started first shot with stale 12 month old fuel in the tank  . had to rip the heater out, the core was FULL of dirt and shit so I'm not even going to bother putting one back in. Mite make a console to go there instead I have an old one from a ke55 so ill see if I can shoehorn it in there :D now its just trivial things like put the door and bonnet back on and sort out the brakes , probably needs a tune as well but it ran, so i'm not complaining. I'm gunning to have it done and reliable for the AJD in adelaide.
  19. So much awesome, looks better every time I see it Keep it up
  20. Looks great mate, I wish I lived closer to adelaide, Id be in as many cruises as I could get to. But a 4 hour drive would kill the rolla :P I'm going to try to get there for the AJD in march
  21. You should find the info to do the job here http://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ke10_Disk_Brake_Conversion Its quite straight foward to do
  22. yeah 3" blocks are a bit mental, but I'm running a higher tyre profile so it's not to bad
  23. Thats awsome Reed! :2thumbs:
  24. ahh rito, that was what made me cautious about adding a visor to mine, the suitcase sub box is an awsome idea, I was going to make a false floor (where the rear seat base flips up) then just hide everything under that yeah the photochop was just a quicky for a laugh, looks sweet with the chin spoiler!
  25. hmm
