oi man its alive!!!!!!!! you know the yellow wire on the 10 pin plug, after i had my little eathing frenzy i connected that up to ignition switched power and it started first try :P thanks again for your help and feel free to stop in when ever you want for some beers (jim beams) or what ever, i can even take you for a drive sometime soon, all i have to do now is wait for my custom throttle cable to be made up probably tomorrow at the latest and then drive down to midas to get an exhaust made up. then the final thing on my list is this coming fridays drift practice, moihahahahahaha cheers beally.

thanks again justin, yeah it wasnt that I'm not sure about what you said that they both had constant 12v cause i tested it with a volt meter and didnt get a reading. what did you think about the car otherwise?

yeah thanks heaps justin, i think ive figured it out but i had to go to goldie with gavin today to look at the 86. but i think i just need to earth the dizzy and those 4 brown wires better and it should work, had a chat to the guys at banzai garage and option 1 and they agreed. (either that or they were too lazy to think) but thanks again and if it doesnt work ill get back to you.

haha, hmm its a daily drifter :jamie: make sure you get some new ball joints, my friends sprinter put corona lca in his, drove it, and it was pretty average, i rebuilt his suspension with new tie rod ends and ball joints, an absolute world of difference.

hey guys sorry about not replying, I'm still taking photos of progress and what not, and ill make it all in a big list instead of scattered over pages. But its all pretty much done. I just can drive it because my front suspension is in pieces as I'm waiting for sigma lca in the mail. then my drift beast will be completed. When i go to drift days ill be sure to take some photos and post them up. speaking of which if anyone lives near me on the sunnycoast I'm more than happy to pick them up take them to queensland raceway, they can be a passenger what ever. I never had anyone for me to go with and i know how good it is. But if my girlfriend is coming i only have 2 seats. but she hardly ever wants to come.

starter motor doesnt fit, its an ae92. Does anyone know what starter motor to use.

SO CLOSE!!!!!!! eleven just need a starter motor and my tail shaft to arrive in the mail, and I'm free to slide.

i have everything k motor related, except the pedal box, caust i threw it away but i have cross members motor 5 speed all in good nic. was running fine when i took it out. make an offer and its yours. how about this, if you come down and do my wiring from brisney land, you can take what ever k motor gear you want. consider it 300 dollars to do my wiring, plus ill buy a carton of beer to share in the process. its only a 35 minute drive from brissie to my house anyhoo.

the problem probably has something to do with corrosion, for 6 bucks from super cheap you can buy replacements that should just plug in, with little mods.

what makes it even worse is I'm a sparky apprentice.

all is done except for the tailshaft which i am waiting for in the mail and the wiring. So if anyone feels like coming over and lending a hand with the wiring then please do. ps i have full uncut loom.

havnt looked yet but ive been told numerous things, that an ae71 tailshaft bolts straight in, that i need a custom jobbie, that i can modify an ae86. i just don't know what to do, cheers for the help

does anyone know what to do with the tailshaft in this conversion.

ive been drifting for about 3-4 years, yet to damage one part of any car. All ive ever done to my cars is build the, change oils frequently, as well as tyres even more frequently, and flog the piss out of them sideways. I'm not too dissapointed that i didnt get it finished today, a whole engine conversion in 1.5 days is a big ask, but if i just had an ae71 tail shaft, as well as a starter motor, small amount of wiring left, it would be finished.

before you sell it id like to come to your place and sus it out, my girlfriend lives in noosa so its no hassle for me at all. but id rather come when my rolla is finished, but depending on how soon it sells ill come in my supercharged suzuki sierra

just realised i think I'm going to need a different tail shaft for my borg warner diff, if anyone has an ae71 diff ill snap her up

only thing thats wasted in drift is tyres.
