  1. Basically 90% of the way through a ground up build of my keto, "the willy wag tail" ill just cut and paste from another forum. I basically started with the principles of a willy wag tail, small, light, agile, and happy to wave its tail everywhere. 2. might be staying in the front, rears might go, it would be good if the front and rears were interchangeable as the rears are a little better, but to be honest of very little concern.
  3. not everyone is a little kid on a moto, if I'm out riding and see a half brick fly past, at least ill know whos face my backwheel will be finding, heaven forbid someone, no sorry, ANYONE should have a hobby, dear god.
  4. 196 60 14 falken rt615 semis on front, 195 60 14 falken ze912 on rear. On 8 and 9 inch rims respectively. 99% of the suspension adjustable rose jointed etc etc. Probably the best combo i could find, it is pointless mentioning merely a brand, there will be more difference between on model in a brand, than you will find in the same market sector between different brands. To me value for money, can't go past a pirelli dragon, if you want to spend a bit more and have some really nice feeling street tyres with uber grip, then go some re001 bridgestones, now available in 185 60 14, otherwise go a falken semi, the toyo semi wears too fast, to soggy feeling, where as the falken is a little firmer but still takes nicely to heat and doesnt become soggy.
  5. what dash :y: car has done 49 thou door cards are overrated. can't bear to pull them off even though i want to gut doors and put lexin glass in, and ally sheet.
  6. does cutting the car to such an extent create and sort of distortion to the chassis/body before the roll cage is in place?
  7. running out of gas for tig past 5pm sucks
  8. it needs to be modified, but only slightly, gotta love toyota sometimes, well pretty much all the time, ra60 with 3sgte would be a great ipra car, i think the rules state that you have to run the standard gear box? so a 3sgte would be a great match with an ra63/ta
  9. went to see ant today to pick up some goodies, in the form of ogura clutch for altezza trd 2 way for supra/altezza for the f series, which turns out has a 4.7 ratio, which should be a barrel of monkeys and a nice bell housing so the 3sgte can be spun around and mated in perfect harmony with the w box. which shall be slipping into the bay thus week of end.
  10. not as bad as the fella in the right hand lane being dandy citizen #189584 who is driving a sensible safe 105k's an hour and making a bumper to bumper road train behind him of frustrated drivers, makes me want to start carrying shit in my car to throw and people
  11. i can see a problem with a polystyrene box can you?
  12. if my girl friend asked that id show them the door
  13. it is an 86 item 18mm adjustable because the diff is an f series and a little bigger than a t i didnt want to run the risk of a borg warner style hitting my diff, but they are very much interchangeable.
  14. thanks to dave from spja fpr the rear ending
  15. what is legal in this day and age, commodore ss leave the show room illegal plus i know most of the boys in blue round here by name, and they know my story and tend to leave me alone.
  16. the gen 2 has a few issues with oiling, it has a low pressure oil pump, the 3rd gen has a high pressure oil pump, combined with a correctly fitted and modified sump, ie beams 3s sump modified a little with modified pickup, or the standard sump modified with a deeper well and some nice well placed baffles and your sweet, keep the level a bit fuller than normal and its fine. ive heard of a few that have been nothing but faultless, ive also heard of people who have spent a long time mucking around and had huge dramas. people who use them in race applications usually touch more than they should and are reluctant to admit faults they have made. once i have the engine at my house, its in my dads factory at the moment, but when i get a good chance to pull it down and line it up ill start to make more researched decisions re sump setups. People do rush to put the sr in, but the gen 3 3s, makes more power, more torque lower, comes with forged internals, doesnt have a screwed top end makes more power more easily, can handle more boost, lighter, only real downsides are the pain of spinning it ew to ns, and its lack of rwd aftermarket support for stuff like manifolds etc. but I'm not into inter species blood transfusions
  17. still a few things left, got to do the rear, go to either the shock mounts or plate the spring perch or what ever, ill see what happens, i don't mind hole sawing the sheet on the side of the rear seat brace to get the tube through to the rear shocks, ill be making some bars to the front shock mounts too, i still need to chip the tacs off the plate drop the cage through and do the final welds around the top and then lift it back up and weld the base plates in completely.
