  1. Just things like brake upgrades, handling products, cams, injectors, heads, ecu pissies, diffs etc etc tec. Online shop link would be great. I'm really after a rear strut brace atm if they exist. Can anyone piont me where to go? For an ea82 with 4age guts
  2. update: painted it this weekend. sanded back the red shine scraped the twin cam stickers off and masked up everything. 1 coat of protective primer followed by wet and dry 400 all over then 2 coats of 'tinted white' for finish will give a light polish. Bumbers get all paint sanded back, adhiesion promoter 2 final white coats. Got a few bugs and crap on the final coast but nothing that wont buff out.
  3. The track ill be practicing on is a very ruff dirt circuit, almost like sand. We rarely do tarmac events, but sometimes one come up, prolly have to replace struts and tires for it.
  4. more progress pics. Still to do to get it on the track: refit muffler with a new bracket, cut and fit skid plates to mounts, fix driver side window winder, oil change. Same people I got the car from has got another of the same model and year. Buying entire running 4age engine from him with extractors for $400, we will mod this engine to what we want then simply replace the stock one when its done. Still need to finish the paint work.
  5. holy crap is that fuel splashing out in that first pic? Thats amazing, lucky its diesel or that driver would not of walked away.
  6. your talking hundreds of dollars for like 1kg reduction. I don't think its feasable, machining your current one will smooth it out giving you more clutch grip and lighten it up abit at the same time as kangaroosa said.
  7. This just increases air flow down your intake pipe, doesn't compress the air like a supercharger forcing it into the manifold using ecu controlled timing, its nothing like a supercharger. Friend of mine bought and fitted this to his mr2, only because its a mid mounted engine and he wanted to get more air to it being at the rear. The power difference is not noticed and he had to replace a worn alternator 2 weeks after he installed it. I'm thinking the drain on the alternator pulley => air intake power gain. I don't recommend this to anyone.

a body panel? try a wreckers
  9. I'm starting off at "motorkhana" level. A small dirt circuit time laps style, lots of turns no long straights. I want to get into proper off road in the near future but this is the place to start.
  10. you talking about the forklift? Shes as sturdy as a rock mate. Hydraulics are supported just in case.
  11. *first post* Hullo, names Ben and I live in nth qld, nice to meet you all. Been getting into racing lately, joined a local CAMS club and now want my own rally car. Picked up an ae82 twin cam from a local wreckers for $1000 with only a stripped clutch as a fault. We have stripped it out, built strengthening plates for rollover and half built the roll cage, custom fit racing seats, removed steering lock, mounted harnesses, mounted skid plate and replaced a hd clutch. Rally tires are on with the suspension razed a bit! All the welding and fab is done by me. mechanical is me with huge mechanical knowledge support from Dad. Getting my cams license and racing with it next weekend just at a club event for the first time... should be good. Suprised to already have a sponsor-SV Steel Supplies in Mackey are supplying any steal needed for roll cage or anything else steel in exchange for advertising on the car and some photo shoots in Townsville. Will post the relative mods we will do to it here as we go. Planing to refab the dash with gauges sometime soon.
