  2. I had those thoughts exactly. Note to self: must work out how to un-adjust handbrake....... :)
  3. Check this out! If only I had a spare bit of cash......... :( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Ke20-Sports-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Sorry guys. Those of you who were on the GOR would know my position. Those of you who weren't, well let me put it this way. I reached new boundaries on the temp gauge. From doing that I have to either rebuild whole motor or replace it. So I wont be able to make it. I might have a surprise or 2 for you all though, coming soon :P Have FUN.....LB
  5. Hope we can get you there next year mate.
  6. thanks to Mel and Jarrad. You guys once again out did yourselves with the organizing :S thanks to the GURU (you know who you are.......) thanks to everyone for their wonderful company, help and patience. Without it, it wouldn't have been what it was. (The BESTEST weekend :hmm: ) As for my sad, sad little car, it only just made it home, but if it wasn't for the guru and others, I wouldn't have made it 5mins out of Portland. It only got hot once, which we pulled over for 10 - 15 mins under a bridge on the Geelong Hwy, to cool both the car and us down. It didn't like sitting at a 100 k's in the heat for long periods of time so I did 80 instead and it got us home. thanks again and I would recommend a weekend like that to anyone :( LB
  7. I'm soooo excited!!!!! Can't wait!!! BUT, I'm in the same boat as clown, shane n tate. Myself and stew have worked out the overheating problem with seca (we think :D ). I did a compression test about 6 months (or more) ago and found that No. 4 piston was down on comp. We worked out it is most likely the rings. I changed the water pump last weekend to try and solve the overheating issue and nothing happened. I wasn't going to go and get the radiator done because it was done a few years ago and still looks good. I drove it about 2 days ago, on that really cool day, and worked out that every time that I shift gears at 5000rpm or more the temp gauge would gradually go up towards the red. Today when I drove I was shifting about 4000 - 4500rpm max and the gauge wouldn't go past the 1/2 way mark. This to me indicates that the car is leaning out at approx 5000rpm and up. So I'm thinking of a fuel only computer to up the fuel ratio a bit. But with only 2 days to go I think I'll take it easy ("cough") to last the weekend. At least it will look good....hehe Good luck to clown, shane and tate and I hope everything goes well. Can't wait to see all these beasts!!! LB
  8. I'm a gloriflied Forklift driver but I have spent many years working on cars so I classify myself as a fully Qualified Backyard Mechanic. I love cars and nothing pleases me more than seeing them run and go hard. I'm always willing to give a hand hence why its taking me 9 years to build a 520hp Commodore. LB
  9. They look cool man but they're no webers  .........hehehe LB
  10. I'll should be coming but pending on if the Head Gasket lasts the GOR.
  11. JP, the earliest ferry from Sorrento is Departure time of 7am. That will get us to Queenscliff at 7:45am. Anyone that would like to join us just let me or Stu know to organize a meet point and time. It costs $51 for a car and driver plus approx $7 for extra adult passengers for one way. You need to be there 20mins before departure. The web site is: www.searoad.com.au Cheers, LB

  13. Six point WHAT!!!!!!! In both of your corollas :lolcry: What, you think a six point roll cage will give you 200kw's or something???? Cause you gonna need it :rolls: But seriously, good lowering job on the rolla poz. It looks wicked now. Good thing you did tho cause you would've needed the six point roll cage just in case it tipped.....hehehe LB

  17. Yep. I'm always keen. Wouldn't mind a cruise up the spur. I've just gotta get new struts in the rear to stop the scrubbin. I've been lookin on tc.org and they were thinkin cruzin in the same area. LB
  18. thanks. They are ANZ Tazers 17x7. It took me a few months of research to decide on those ones and it has paid off
  19. I went on a cruise to Wilson's Prom yesterday with the CCCV (Classic Celica Club of Vic) and realized that my rear shockies/struts are stuffed. I copped alot of tyre-scraping-on-plastic action around tight corners and poor road repairs (bumps and dips). I have rolled the guards but the bumper where it joins the wheel arch is where it contacts the tyre. I took a visit down to the local Pedders, before I got the wheels, and have been quoted approx. $1000 to do front and back struts. I will only do the rears for now as I can't afford to do the lot in one hit. I'm thinking of changing the springs from Kings to Pedders as well, so I can get spring rate to match the shockies. A bigger sway bar will be on the list as well. LB
