Hi guys, a penny for your thoughts... My Rolla has a 7K fitted to what I'm assuming to be a standard 5 speed out of a Ke30. Bellhousing is cast onto the body of the box. When I first purchased this vehicle, it was running a 7K flywheel and heavy duty clutch. As I soon discovered, I was breaking a clutch cable on average once a month. This was because the fork had little or no adjustment, due to the fact that the fork was pushed right against the back of the spline due to the height of the 7K clutch and flywheel. I proceeded to change back to the smaller 3K flywheel and standard clutch. Since then the vehicle has considerable vibration on acceleration and decel, most notable around the 2-4 thousand rpm mark. my question is this... Is the 7K running a counterbalnced crankshaft, and hence the lighter flywheel has thrown the whole thing out of balance? Should I just go and buy the 7K box to go with the motor? If so will I have shorten the tailshaft or any other mods to fit? The vibration is killing me!!!

Its funny actually the wheels are a love it or hate it item. The main reason I chose them was to be different from the pack. I could have gone with the same old 5 spoke or Simmons design, but doesnt everybody?? As for the seats, I simply modified the original rails to fit the new seats. It actually pulls pretty well, alot of bottom end but seems to get pretty wheezy above 5000rpm. Would like to turbo it but at the end of the day it all comes down to dollars really!! As for the front wheels, its something I've been saying I would get around to for ages but never fixed. Obviously I need to cut and re weld spring seats and probably modify the inner guard as well. When life is always flat out its hard to get these things done I spose

Hi, I'm a new member and thought I would post this pic of my ride. Nicknamed Big Red. running a 7k with a 5 speed, Speedy 17in wheels, resprayed rossa corsa red, full interior retrim in vinyl and suede. I'm a mechanic so I've done most of the work myself. Hope you like it!!
