  1. I'm a real boxing fan... anyone else see the Mosley/Cotto fight last weekend? two masters at each other's throats it was a top fight
  2. all solid points styler. Anyone can weld in just about any old piece of metal to fix rust, but to make it look like its never been repaired is for people with a fair amount of skill
  3. good to see guys we have 3, which is a start...Radrollaz Autobarn at Villawood sounds good, I think we are all open to suggestions, I have definitely decided on the 9th Dec as I think this will suit most, sorry smacko!! So Dec 9 it is, Autobarn Villawood, I think we need at least 10 cars to make it a decent run. Is 10am meet up too late? any more suggestions are welcome
  4. Regardless of all that, the point I was making is that the 3SGTEU is far from a boat anchor
  5. Sorry I should clarify, series 3 MR2 turbo, which is the same engine as a ST205 celica, 3S-GTEU, heaps of fun to drive
  6. Hey all. Would like to organise a cruise for 9th December, 2007. Meet at a McDonalds maybe Rockdale?? If we can get some decent numbers it should be a good goer. Meet at say 10am, and we can cruise down to the light house, hopefully meet our Wollongong counterparts down there. Cmon guys, all the other states kick our arses when it comes to gatherings etc. I know all us Sydney people have a care less type attitude, but it would be cool to meet other members, check out the rides, and have a bit of fun!! Post in this topic to join in. Cheers, Nathan
  7. Puerto Rico seems to have a treasure trove of hot and fast cars.... I believe they are pretty famous for rotors too yeah??
  8. No-one from Sydney or Wollongong wants to go for a cruise???? Isnt that the whole purpose behind the love of our rolla's? Or possibly noone has bothered to read this thread hehe
  9. you've obviously never driven a series 3 MR2 then!! Celica..bad. MR2...good!!
  10. totally agree, also their parts warranty is solid, and fairly lengthy from memory.
  11. yeah I definitely think we should get something organised, on a sunday preferably?? any takers list your interest here and if we can get enough numbers we could do it
  12. You don't just straighten the front of the chassis. The whole car gets placed on a jig and then it can be straightened, but not always. If it is too far gone they just throw it away. Also if it isnt done right, the car will forever crab around corners. I have a mate who is a panelbeater, and he told me that most cars are never the same once the chassis has been bent. The body on a KE30 corolla is not removable from the chassis, so you need to go and buy a rolling shell. Straightening the chassis will set you back at least 2 grand plus all the other parts you obviously need repaired like suspension, and by the sounds of it, your front crossmember
  13. really?? I'd imagine you'd be real handy with a welder then... BTW old skool centrelines/dragways look awesome
  14. man, this looks real impressive, and not a super tight fit either! Were any firewall mods required??
  15. you know, despite the fact I'm not from Wollongong, we really should get a cruise together and head down there. its a top place to hang out and show off your wheels, and I reckon the NSW faction from Rollaclub.com needs to start pulling their weight a bit!! We really should set a date in stone and get out on the road together where we belong!!!
  16. if that was the case it would be doing it all the time, not just on start up, which is why the choke would be the first place to look. If the choke butterfly or linkage is gummed up enough it could be sticking
  17. eventually, transmissions wear out, its just life. Sometimes a band adjustment can help, or it may just need a new valve body. As for your brakes, if you block off all your lines at each wheel with a set of clamps, and the pedal still goes to the floor(with fluid topped up) then the master is most likely done for. If not, remove a clamp from one corner(brake line) and pump the pedal. note any loss of pressure. Repeat on all the other lines. Then replace the clamp, and you should be able to find out where your loss of pressure is coming from.
  18. Unfortunately mounts like this arent just available of the shelf, you need to have the motor sitting in the bay so that measurements can be taken etc. If you are going to take this conversion on dude, its gonna require a heap of time, planning, and usually payola as well.
  19. Racebrakes in Melbourne is the place you're looking for, they actually make their own. They also sell EBC pads, and are the Australian distributor for them I believe. Their number is 03 9326 6088 or go to racebrakes.com.au
  20. Could be the choke flap sticking, hence the pop noise when you revved it, could have been the flap snapping back into place...
  21. Hmmm I tend to agree, and besides, from personal experience I've found that ring lands are more likely to cop a beating from boost than conrods....Just a personal observation of course.
  22. I still believe that 8 pound is f**k all boost, shouldnt really be an issue with a decent decompressed head gasket fitted
  23. if you're that worried about the compression issue, why not simply have a thicker head gasket made up, from metal of course, there really is no need to go swapping pistons with such a low boost pressure, and as we all know, the GE bottom end is pretty damn solid in the first place!
