kryton brown was right.......the needle fell out. where the hell is the idle screw on this carby?? it idles so damn high right now!

ok, i just did this exact thing to my ke70. problem is when i turn the key to start the car......it pisses (literally gushes) fuel out of one of the spout things at the very top of the carby (secondary side). The nikki i used was slightly different being that it had two hoses going in where the fuel line connects, so i blocked one.

i'm an apprentice fabricator so figured i may as well do a little cut and shut job on my ke70's panhard rod. just wondering roughly how much i should shorten it by, the cars' running 6kg rear springs, and is about 2 inches lower than standard.

You can go a little bit dodgy and slot in some xf falcon (front) springs into the corona strut and ke70 strut top. theyre fairly stiff but will need to be captive (ie used with st185 shocks). btw you will have to use sigma control arms otherwise you will have positive camber!

medicine man is right......i used the windshield off of a flat-front ke70. It was alot easier than i thought...just have to be careful!

do the st204/162/185 shocks suit relatively stiff springs? and are you sure the st204 shocks fit? i know the 162 and 185's do. -
probably would have to be a red-bull holder lol if its a 3k/4k! sounds cool maybe use the seats for a loungeroom set.

putting in a fresher windscreen into my slanty front ke70 and just wondering if i can get a windshield off any ke70 not just a slanty front. Any help would be awesome.

hmmmmmm the ca18 holds the most potential in my eyes...... theres always going to be stuffing around if it was easy everybody would have one and then it wouldnt be worth it............and i have a little nissan blood in me i can't deny it.

sorry about doing this but the search function was no help at all even though you've probably had this question heaps of times before. what suspension bushes obtain the most rewards (stiffness/handling wise) when replaced with urethane ones? I'd love to replace them all but since funds are running low I can only do a few for now.

UPDATE bought some front king springs and monroe gas shocks from a vb commodore..... -the springs fit, and are noticably stiffer. although they are not a perfect fit so i wouldnt recomend it to perfectionists lol. I'm not sure if theyre lows or superlows.......but they only seem to be 1/2 an inch lower than standard springs. -the shocks however needed way smaller bolts to attach them to the tower, as well as new caps to hold them to the strut, (they also appeared slightly longer than the corona gas shocks i just bought) put in the xt130 LCA's, needed slight swaybar mods to fit, and seemed to only give slight amount of neg camber (better than before tho) also just got a set of monroe gt gas riders for the front.....not too bad i reckon still trying to find another rear swaybar for a double swaybar and the locker is going in as soon as I'm finished with exams. oh and a better celica drivers seat is going in as well.

i had a little chat with my wallet today and he said to hold off buyin anythin until i've payed back money for uniooks. so i'm gonna go the cheapest possible way and get springs from a commodore(vb-vp i think fits)! already got falcon rear springs may as well go the whole hog and have a falcommrona!

bought an rt142 from a surfie bonghead (was covered in billabong, nova, tracks etc. stickers lol) for $400 bucks. the dude reckoned it had major head probs, but i still drove it home; changed the plugs, oil, oil filter, coolant and put some chemiweld through the radiator and 2 months later she's still goin fine. its an avante, with the 22re and a 5 speed behind it. so far only mods have been: -heavy duty falcon rear springs -removed sound deadener (couldnt find a chisel so used a flathead screwdriver haha) -cut half a coil off the front springs (i know i know but its only temporary) -5mm spacers on rear wheels -better radiator -got rid of grandma spec mudflaps and pinstripes -did an extremely bad bog job on the bonnet next mods are gonna be: -8kg front springs prob a 2 inch drop (gonna have to be a custom job) -xt130 LCA's (got em sittin in the shed ready to go in -welded diff (got a spare centre on the cheap and already welded it up) -urethane castor arm bushes i figure with all this shit in it itll be a fairly decent car to learn to drift in. heres a pic of it in its initial stage

i was hoping to go 8kg at the front and 6kg at the back but i've already got heavy duty falcon springs in the rear, so maybe only going to about 6kg at the front would suit me better. i'll pm beerhead now cheers

called industrial springs today they quoted me 300 bucks and about 2 months waiting for a pair of custom fronts, any ideas on where else i can get custom springs? maybe even stiffer springs from another car thatll wack in? cheers
